My other satnav is in the Oblivion Bar, pastout as it were!

There was a Tommy Vile who played rugby for Wales. Vile has become a headline word, not quite like probe, quiz, grill etc but one that fits neatly into a thread head, anaesthetising its impact.

Funnily, I noticed hater far more this year than last.

Brings to mind another Wodehouse gem: “He had just about enough intelligence to open his mouth when he wanted to eat, but certainly no more.”

Some of mine are tattered and torn. Bought my first when I was 13! Have got a number on talking books to listen to in the car, most with Martin Jarvis narrating. He is superb: his Lord Emsworth is so good it wrecked, for me, Timothy Spall playing the role on ITV last year.

I have a couple of albums by Scout Niblett; the extra b makes a difference when you read it but it would sound the same.

I never listen to a word Dave says. I make it a policy just to smile benignly.

This morning was pretty good, significantly free of children. Gave up this evening for the reasons you said. Thought Vile thread went well, thank you all - and the new peeps who pitched in. Noticed a few comments about using vile on other threads too after
HLs was just dreadful, probably the worst of the series. Thread ok, but not classic
I fear for BOTS and the LF tonight

Actually you inspired me. I popped out earlier for a few figs and treated myself to a lump of Manchego to go with them. Now I am just deciding between tempranillo and Rioja to accompany and my evening is sorted.”

While I was losing the will to live in my electric oven I had a horrifying thought.

Has it occurred to anyone else that most if not all the posters on the forum are eligible for jury service?

What a thought!!

Still, they'd get to the bottom of whether Mario was hung like a budgie or not so all is not lost.
