Awww. I love this thread! It's educational, a short history in TV/movie characters and gives an interesting insight into poster's real lives.
Nice one!Love Quasi's though!

I don't regret mine yet but my molliepops (retriever cross collie) is 12 now and coming slowly to the end of her life, when she goes I know I will regret using her name and being reminded everytime I log in she is no longer with us.
My wolfhound is now nearly 12, a pretty astonishing age for the breed, and I suspect this is the last year she'll be staying up with dad 'til the early hours watching BB

The first forum I joined online was a Dungeons & Dragons forum so I chose the name of one of my D&D characters, a dwarf called Thrombin. I just invented the name because it sounded kinda dwarf-like. I've used Thrombin as my username on most of my forums since.
It can be a bit awkward when people think it has something to do with blood clotting though

I'm not too keen on mine, but when joining the first 2 I tried to use were already allocated to other users, or so I was informed but as of yet I haven't seen anyone posting under either name
![]() So I just picked the first line of my address in reverse, and I have been mistaken for a long time as being male, so I would have preferred something more feminine! I'm sure I remember some thinking 57 was the year of my birth, but I'm 10 years younger!

that's so touching. FWIW, I've had an email addy which includes the names of my furry angels (twins) for over 10 years now. They both passed away in 2009. I wouldn't dream of changing my email address - in a way, it kinda keeps them close by me. Sorry...back on topic - I'm okay with my username. I regret the asterisks, though! Seemed like a good idea at the time

Just something a little light-hearted and friendly in the BB Break...
Do you regret your username? Have a weird reason for choosing it? Is it BB related? What do other usernames makes you think? Personally, I MASSIVELY regret mine. Many a poster has referred to it when trying to say I'm a meanie, when in fact it was an ill thought out play on words of Evelyn Waugh's 'Vile Bodies', which was based on the idea of people fit only to be the object of experimentation. I thought at the time it would be a good BB username. Silly me. ![]() 2) No 3) No 4) Don't care |

Mine comes from Rachel Rice saying during the Egg-and-Spoon Task that her school nickname was Egg Fried Rice. It's appropriate for me as Rachel's my all-time fave HM and I severely doubt that this will ever change.
(On the other hand I guess I could have gone with my second choice, "Thargon, Devourer of Galaxies". )

How is it blokey? Always makes me think of Dangermouse, I love it!
![]() As for why I picked it ..... I've no idea why dangermouse popped into my head ... I'd been sat at the sign up page for about 2 hours scratching my head .... was tired and weary Just tweaked the mouse bit to be a little different. And moose seemed more fitting for me ![]()

I wanted "Zazou", but it was already taken, so had to improvise with the X.
Zazou was a word used in the 1920's to describe the decadent, bohemian parties of the time. I just liked the word and the meaning. And I quite like that it can be seen as male or female, prefer to be a bit mysterious...

I do regret mine, it's simply my real first name and the first letter of my last.
 My imagination simply wasn't working the day I signed up.

I regret mine, it was when I logged onto these forums as a university student so I was told to use my student code to appear as professional as possible, but to most people it's just a selection of random numbers.

Starting to regret mine now I've found a few greys jinxed myself there but I can't deny that I'm a ginge so my username is fine. Not been used against me so far but sadly I wouldn't put it past a minority of FMs who like to get personal! I have to admit I may be guilty of judging FMs on their username so thanks for this thread, a nice reminder that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and there are some interesting reasons behind people's usernames.

Mine is tv related, not BB related, and I doubt anyone has bothered to figure out exactly what it refers to, though most can probably guess the show just from the first half, if not the character.
My username came about coz I love to find out things, and my friends would ask how I knew something obscure and my reply was 'Google baby, Google'. |

I dislike mine with a passion now, as you can see it sounds like plug, but it was given to me by a friend on a games site many years ago. He started calling me it and I asked him one day what he meant, and low & behold it was Pretty Little Welsh Girl
![]() It seemed kind of sweet then, but now I am not so sure ha

You'll have to put the explanation in your 'Services' section. You obviously thought we were a lot more clever than we are. ![]() My own username was ill thought out too. It kind of busted my plan to defend all Irish people everywhere whilst keeping my nationality a secret. ![]() I dont know why I picked it but it makes me sound like an airhead (ok ok I can be at times lol)................ I asked the mods and admins if I could change it but they woudlnt let me........... |

Er - should you be called Rose? or Bernard? (probably way off target coz it's been a while since I've watched Lost).
My username came about coz I love to find out things, and my friends would ask how I knew something obscure and my reply was 'Google baby, Google'. (nickname, not real name, but close enough) |

xI won't explain my user name. unless you have a deep and abiding fascination for long lost historical characters it would just bore you .... and it would take way too long.
