Just ordered a Twinings sample pack, but I have to ask is English Afternoon tea what people actually drink for afternoon tea, or is that like Canadian bacon, where nobody in Canada calls it bacon?

i have to say i would be very disappointed if i ordered Afternoon Tea and all i got was a cup of tea, what about the tasty treats that one associates with Afternoon Tea....maybe Flight will get cakes and scones and little sandwiches with the crusts cut off in her parcel too, i do hope so

A bit of a leg stretch will do you good. I often walk to the next village and back just for the fun of it (six mile round trip or so)

It's probably a bit more over 130 odd, I reckon, possibly more.
So I'd have eaten all the biscuits by then, and stopped at every pub.

That one is quite good, I've had it before but I tend to drink Ringtons tea in preference to any other. I have it delivered to my door every month by the Ringtons man

http://www.ringtons.co.uk/tea-c1/tea-bags-c2

I buy the Extra Fresh ones, and also get my Christmas cake mix from them. The ginger biscuits are to die for and the chocolate chip cookies are fab. Mr Soreen gets a filter coffee from them but I cant remember which it is. We got a pot each of jam and marmalade a couple of months ago which were great (well he had the marmalade, I dont eat it). I also get a box of the chocolate covered mallows each month as they are much nicer than the supermarket ones.

Have a browse

The Ringtons man has been coming here for years now. I struggle to drink anything else now in truth although I will drink Twinnings quite happily and have a few bags in if people find Ringtons a bit too strong for their taste (at least I think I have lol). I think he does quite well in this village really as the bakers sell his teabags and I assume he supplies them, my neighbours next door also get their tea from him, and at least one other person on my street as he parks further down after he has been to us at the top of the hill.

I've just come back from the Co-Op with two boxes of reduced mushrooms (I only popped down for an onion lol), I may well be making cheese/mushroom flan tomorrow myself

there's something delightfully old fashioned (in the best sense) about the Ringtons man, never heard of it anywhere else than the north east....if Ringtons is your favourite definitely bring some!!! (i have a bit of a yorkshire addiction) i never drank loads of tea but when in hospital they were pouring 8 cups a day down me i came out needing a fix every hour or so!

I can order a classic biscuit hamper and have it delivered for only £30.21 (that's 9.71 for the cookies, the rest is shipping).

I think I'll stick with domestic LOL
