Actually you're correct because I do have pugs. I was watching a program about operation Geronimo when I signed up and am now left when a silly username but I'm very flattered that people think it has a deep hidden meaning!

There is a chocolatecake on another forum I use and every time I see the name I start to crave chocolate.

I blame the forums for my battle of the bulge.

My favourite 'clever' BB username was Mesotim- who I think used to be Mesojade (but I may have imagined that). Anyway I like it.

I started on DS because of BB by my username has nothing to do with it. I don't regret it though-I like being a pretzel.

I always read it as 'Mesotism', which I imagine to be some kind of hereditary affliction.

A friend of mine though, their username is 'Nucking Futs'. Got banned pretty much immediately (I assume for inappropriate username since she says she never posted anything to be banned for) and has since been told that she cant change it. So is stuck with a terrible username, that she cant even post from as its banned

I picked mine on the spur of the moment. I was researching Joseph Chamberlain (known as 'Radical Joe' for his policies as a Liberal) for an essay on late Victorian politics at the time I joined up and the name just came to mind.

It serves its purpose, although I wouldn't choose it again; I always think people might take me for some cheesy surfer type dude.

Mine is half my dogs name and some of mine, I hate it when I am called it because it sounds like I am being called like the dog.

Mine was after my beloved cocker spaniel lulu, on other forums i am lulublue a combination with my other spaniel Blue, i lost them both five years ago cry: and everytime i log in somewhere i am reminded of them both i now have a little yorkie called dolly biti have never regretted using their names.
