Dog breath!

My boxers don't have the best smelling breath - think it's a problem with bacteria, as is the norm - and it's impossible to brush their teeth. One alternative was drinking water additive. Obviously, dogs' water is changed many times daily - at least mine is - so this raises the concern of, isn't it just a waste, of product and liquid? As soon as slaver begins to appear in the bowl, I change the water, so I don't know how much of it they would consume and if, consequently, it would have the intended effect. And how much is added to a bowl? Has anyone used this method of cleaning the dog's teeth and, if so, does it help the breath? It just seems to me that, due to the frequency of changing the water, it may end up being poured down the plug hole. Each time the water is changed, is more liquid added? It doesn't seem practical to me. Thanks.

Never tried it, but you could try a fountain to stop the water sitting there and going stagnant, then you won't waste as much?

Have you tried dentastix? It helps with the plaque build up on teeth.

I've found Greenies to be really good www.greenies.com, although admittedly my dog's breath wasn't very bad to begin with. What kind of food are they on?
