Why don't Nokias vibrate when they are charging?

Sorry if this has already bee asked but I don't really like to go through pages of threads and I'm too lazy to use the whole google filter search thing.

Anyway, I have wondered about this for a while. When my phone (well, all the Nokias I have had) is charging or plugged it it doesn't vibrate...i don't know about other phones. Why is this?

Anyway, just a thought, just a question...

I presume it is because the vibrate function is meant for when the phone is in your pocket...

It'll be to stop the phone from falling off the table / shelf / whatever you've put it on to charge it. If it rings for ages and you don't answer it and it's vibrating away, it'll start moving closer and closer to the edge...

every mobile i have had doesnt vibrate when on charge, i have a sony ericsson T630 an that doesnt either

I've never even noticed if my phone did that or not while charging!

Mine does, it's fell out the fricking dock a few times because of it - bloody annoying.

Its controlled by BATTIO and Its to do with voltage and protection of certain circuits.

...and possibly because the charge wire will fall out when it vibrates...

and then they fall off and break...

i wondered at this too until my phone came flying off the desk one day...
