Well it was more to do with what’s the picture quality like on pre-recoded DVD’s which I think you have answered

On a few region2 DVD’s we are sometimes lucky enough to get the DTS 5.1 sound track as well as the standard Dolby Digital 5.1.
This is usually selectable via the DVD's own on screen menu, but the player must be able to decode and output the DTS signal via phono or digital optical link to a surround sound amp.
The question was really can it decode and output DTS.

Does it say in the manual that this is down to copyright as I was hoping to copy a DVD that has no copyright i.e. home video of a cactus exhibition?
Could I record straight to DVD from another DVD player via the scart connection?
