Good stuff. The countdown officially begins!

It looks to be a very interesting series, with the rooms on the Saturdays and the arenas on Sundays.

Going to miss the first one as we'll still be on holiday, but we'll be back in time for the Sunday show (after having watched the first one which we will have recorded )

X Factor confirmed it on Twitter - that's as convincing as it gets.

I'd personally like it if the Sunday show was dropped. Saturday nights with the results show made for good entertainment. Spreading it over two nights stretches it all a bit thin. If nothing else, the final should be one night so we can invite friends over and make a night of it Eurovision style. One Big Bang Saturday night final would be so much better than the drawn out two nighter that struggles to keep momentum.

Ratings wise, it has done better over two nights. Also, on a Saturday, the results were late at night, and also it seems a bit contrived when its all on one night. Not to mention it gives us more time to vote.

FYI Radio Times says there are 22 episodes this year (they class the two live shows as one), so that suggests there will be only 4 weeks of auditions, 1 week of bootcamp, 1 week of judges houses, 10 weeks of live shows from October 12th, ending on December 15th.

So they're definitely going for Christmas #1 then?
