The first song that sprang to mind was 'Get This Party Started' by Pink. It's been my "play this song in my head when I feel sad" song for years.

Oh wow, really liked both of those tracks (the first youtube link is wrong though). The Kaleidophone track reminded me a lot of Dog Is Dead.

I'll be keeping my eye out for both of those bands!

Thanks for letting me know about the Kaleidophone "Sexy T-Rex" link! It's here if anyone once to listen: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GjizI98PWwE as I can't edit my original quote for some reason

Glad you like both! They are both great hard working bands too and great live! The Wildes are from Margate and Kaleidophone from Maidstone

New Radical - You Get What You Give
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL7-CKirWZE
Such an uplifting song, it's a real shame that Gregg Alexander quit performing after this.
The Beatles - Hey Jude
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDdI7GhZSQA
The coda is just a wonderful piece of music and if it doesn't move you, you aren't human.
The Jam - Town Called Malice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfpRm-p7qlY
A real stomper from the Jam, you just cannot keep still to this song.

Can I just say, that song is amazing!! Also, the lead singer looks like the love child of Gwen Stefani and Shirley Manson.

I don't usually like dance music but I Could Be The One by Avicii vs Nicky Romero is a cracking tune. The video depicts an overweight office drudge who dreams of paradise beaches and holiday romance. Let's just say I identify except for the overweight bit. I'm thin and miserable.
