Has anyone actually managed to use Samsung S-Recommendations

I have a new f-series Samsung TV and am trying to find anything remotely useful from the S-Recommendations/voice control features.

I've had the TV for a month now and now matter how many times i try using voice control to do anything any more complex than just changing channel or volume, it comes up with stupid responses and no action.

I phoned Samsung and got the usual call centre employee asking if I'd tried the tutorial, could i try using it again, etc. When I complied with the request, the tutorial basically tells you to change volume and the call handler therefore told me it was working. They didn't seem to comprehend my sarcasm when I asked why on earth you'd want to use voice control to change volume when there's a button on the control which does the same much quicker.

Features I am trying to use include advertised controls such as "remind when X is on", "find X for tonight", etc. Do these features work outside the UK ?

Asked this to Samsung through various methods but no responses at all or "please contact our technical support team", very disappointed.

I would have thought there are buttons on the remote that will do most functions much faster?.

It really seems a pretty useless and stupid feature? - but perhaps I'm missing something?.

yes, basic functions there are buttons which is what i mentioned, however the "smart" features should allow you to do such things as ask the TV if a particular program is on today, find recommendations (such as "are there any action movies on today"), ask the TV what other films an actor has been in, etc.

All pretty cool stuff, if it worked, but it doesn't.

As per most of the 'smart' features that I've turned off - samsung just adding crap to make the tv sound better than it is - its a tv guys...
