Kim Metcalf was much better. A different Sam, she was nice but I liked that.

I was shocked that the producers decided to bring back Danniella as Sam in 2009, because Kim's portrayal of the character was a key player in major storylines:

Marrying Andy Hunter
Den Watts' Murder

Of course under Kim Medcalf Sam interacted with: Zoe Slater, Kat Slater, Charlie Slater, Stacey Slater, Alfie Moon, Pat Evans and Patrick Trueman.

The scene where Danniella plays Sam in 2009 when she is behind the bar and speaks to Patrick about the murder seems so strange... She says something like 'Well Zoe weren't the only one with the old bill breathing down her neck' and Charlie is rude to her because of what happened in 2005 with Zoe.

I preferred Daniella, never warmed to Kim as Sam and just saw her as another character

I like to think of Kim Medcalf's Sam and Daniella Westbrook's Sam as two separate characters!

I personally think that Sam's 2009 completely ruined everything Kim Medcalf did during her time in the show!

I preferred Kim as Sam, I felt like they treated Sam as two different characters. It was as if they forgot all the character developments when Daniella came back.
