Does anyone know if it's possible to watch BT Sports online without already having a BT phone or broadband account? (Similar to Sky's monthly Sky Go service)

We couldn't find ours (no paper bills) but we were allowed to use our postcode .

You can watch the app anywhere that has semi-decent wi-fi, access to it requires a BT ID (quite often a btinternet.com email address you forgot you had!) and password to log in. I'm not clear if the online app is only available for BT Broadband Users (which I am), or you get it if you are paying the 12/15 quid a month to get BT Sport via Sky, or indeed getting it via the Virgin XL package.
They definitly don't seem to be providing it as a standalone web only pay service if you don't have BT BB.
Rather hoping it gets added to more platforms - got it running on iPad, Galaxy S4 and Windows 7 laptop so far - Now TV would be nice but can't see it given that is now Sky's baby.

If you are paying for BT Sport and not a BT Broadband customer, you do have access to the online and app streams of the channels.
or indeed getting it via the Virgin XL package.
If you have BT Sport through Virgin XL you can stream this through Virgin Media's TV Anywhere.

I'd like to sign up for BT Sport but currently with Talktalk and there is still no deal for BTS to be carried on that service yet, if there ever will be. BT should make it available as a streaming option without requiring a Sky viewing card, BT account or Virgin Media. I would happily pay £10-12 a month for it but not £30 for Sky Sports on Talktalk.
