Digihome 500GB HD (T7300 ) user instructions
I have recently purchased a new Digihome 500GB HD PVR ( T7300 ) after my old ONN PVR160 (T816 ) which has given sterling service for many years, started to jump on replay of recorded programmes which I suspect is the HDD on the way out.
With this T7300, can anyone tell me what the ‘G’ means that is shown against either a proposed recording in ‘Timers Screen ’ or a recorded programme in ‘Recording Library Screen’. I cannot find anything mentioned in the documentation supplied with this new machine as to what this letter means ? |

It usually means that the broadcaster has suggested the programme requires parental guidance. If you set that option on for your PVR you will need to enter a PIN to view the programme.

Thank you for that answer, I have not set the parental guidance pin, but will check this out. The 'G' only appears against some programmes.

Yes, 'G' is for Guidance - it is mainly there for informational purposes, as I don't think the guidance option in the parental PIN settings actually works
. That said, in my experience, broadcasters' setting of this flag is inconsistant.Could you possibly let me know the software version that your Digihome is running - the number is shown on the configuration page? |

Thank you for that information.
The receiver upgrade is version v0.68( uk-0.68) When I installed the new set, I had to turn off the 'low power' setting as I lost 'loop through' of the TV aerial when this was active and the PVR went into standby. Is the above version the most up to date?? |

Sounds about right - I am not sure what the latest version is as my test box has v0.65 which I received in February 2012 - I knew v0.65 wouldn't have been the public release. I stopped receiving updates once I started testing the T7650. I'm glad to see a newer, rather than older, version was used in the end. Probably not a lot of new development was done on the T7300 after v0.68
. Do you still have the internet portal menu option, or is iPlayer available via the red button instead?Regarding loopthrough, if you want to use low power mode then you can always use a cheap passive splitter beforehand (i.e. not using the RF out from the Digihome at all) if your signal is strong enough. Other than that, my main top tip would be to go through the channel list and delete all unwanted channels as it will help avoid various EPG related bugs. |

Thanks very much for that information. In reply to your question it does have the internet portal option.
Although mentioned in the manual, it does not have any ‘export to USB’ and this is missing from the play options menu. I will try a ‘splitter’ to resolve ‘low power’ and will clean up the EPG unwanted channels as suggested. Thanks again for all your help. |

Interesting... I don't have a manual, but there certainly has never been an option to export recordings to USB, although you can export video files, etc, from a USB device to the HDD and copy those back to USB again. But, that is separate from the recordings library. Perhaps a feature that was disabled in the UK models due to Freeview HD restrictions
