Well done Corrie xD, I think it deserved to win it on Mad Maya alone , even if the narrative (for me) wasn't there the drama was.

I'm so pleased that Corrie won, I think 2004 was one of their best ever years! I couldn't fault it at all, I enjoyed every storyline, even the sillier ones like Fred's Thai Bride and Pushy Mum Sally!
![]() Well done Corrie, it's very well deserved! ![]() If anyone's interested, there's an interesting article about Corrie here, and it also mentions their South Bank nomination with comments about it from the producer. Laura xx |

Excellent news. It's obvious to regular viewers just how hard the cast and crew have worked over the last year or so. Congratulations on being the recipients of this award, no other soap came close
![]() Good to see that former Corrie writer Paul Abbott got the Outstanding Achievement Award. Corrie's obviously where the talent is (although good to see Emmerdale raise its game in 2004). |

who is the character who is to be killed off on the 6000th ep? Apparently it's a he, and they've been in Corrie virtually since day 1..... (according to Sharon Marshall - This Morning) |

FINALLY , a decent awards show not some crappy Inside Soaps award or made up BBC award. Well done Corrie, an award they can actually be proud of.

Here, here! I think the EE crowd were embarassed that they won that awrad in 2004. It just made the award seem completely worthless. EE was not the bast soap in any sense |

Apparently my remark about Cornation Street upset a member - BCJ, a private message was left for me, which reads as:
Corrie's award post. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Obviously you don't like soaps - so it would be advisable not to post on the soap forums. My reply is as follows: I watch the soaps, but I don't have to like them, just because they are on, the storylines of late have been pretty lame and in some cases far fecthed. And since was free speech abolished ? |
