'3' Anyone else have phone switch off today?
Hi, did anyone else have their Nokia 7600 on 3 switch itself off today? or any other 3 phone for that matter?
Both the wife and I leave our phones switched on with the key pad lock on. Early this afternoon we both discovered our phones were switched off. When switched back on they both attempted to connect using GPRS then failed. The system appears a bit flakey at the moment so maybe this has some bearing. Neither phone has had any problems until now and for both to suffer the same thing at the same time seems a bit strange. If this is down to the network then I'd be interested in knowing what they '3' are up to. Look forward to your opinions. |

Its been like that since 3/3/2003!
Goodness knows how they have fended off the army of complainants. The Nokia is nice but the 3 network is the letdown. You are fortunate not to have had such an experience before now! |

At the time both phones went down wife and I were 30 miles apart. My wifes phone attempted to connect to GPRS straight away whereas mine displayed an envelope and attachment for a few minutes as well. I checked every inbox including email and nothing.

3 went down for me yesterday. I couldn't make any calls or recieve them. I went off at about 4pm and didn't come back to 10.30pm.
I've had no text messages come through, it just makes the little ding ding thing, and sometimes an enverlope comes up, but the message doesn't make it to my inbox. That was the finaly straw with 3. I just took out a contract with vodafone. 3 should be banned. Though I feel sorry for them, cause there so usless. |

Thanks for replies. I wonder what that was all about. Just as well I was not calling for an ambulance or something ha!
Out of interest I inserted my original 3 Threepay USIM and was surprised to find I was able to make calls, view movie clips etc. I thought the threepay service was up after 30 days unless you credited your account again. Its a good two months since I should have topped it up.

Yes, yet again....another outage!!!!
My three phones are going. Fed up with unreliability. Fed up with dialling a call only to be connected with no audio, calls being dropped and text and picture messages going missing. Fed up with giving free english lessons to three foreign customer services, fed up with missing calls because people cant get through. For now I'm sticking with GSM, 3g is all well and good when it works, but the IF factor is far too frustrating and time consuming, for me to be a (paying) guinnea pig for Three. |

Of late, I have been having quite a few of the same problems, and I actually like 3. I spent ages praising them! It's only in the last 2 weeks things have been happening, but it's now back to normal. Before this I had mostly uninterupted service. Still liking 3, probably because my phone is not mission critical & it's cheap so I can put up with it every now and then. |
