Hard to say but id say the majority of Celtic fans edge of the side of anti-establishment ideas on the whole, although you never know. Ones who actually go to games, id say is even higher.
Id say the ones in Glasgow & Ireland would be more anti-establishment. Outside those places, it is mixed I would say..

The Club are the fans and the fans dont give a ****, do you actually care that some people dont like Celtic fans? all clubs fans are disliked by certain people. Doesnt mean we need to change our ways for them, they can continue to dislike, we'll continue to get on with ourselves.
We should have been respectful though. Those that didn't want to should have been outside till the silence was over. It causes embarrassment.

People should do what they want and what they think is right, to stay silent in the name of people who have fought wars terrorising Millions of people and killing who knows how many thousands and thousands, possible millions of innocent people for hundreds of years isnt something id want to have any part in.

People shouldnt be forced into bowing down to other peoples political ideas.

Your viewpoint but plenty of Celtic fans were embarrassed by the distruption yesterday. It doesn't reflect well on the club.

It doesnt matter how it reflects though, the point being made is the point that should be being made. Personally id rather the whole crowd of every game was bouncing and singing during it at every match up and down the country in rejection to being herded in and forced like sheep into taking part of something that has nothing to do with anything except bowing down to the elites who want us to accept their ideas and fall into line of worshiping their every action and pretending everything they done was heroic.

Not for me.

What about Celtic fans who sing 'Ooh ah up the RA' etc? What do you think of them?

Freedom of speech is fine by me for anyone. Celtic fans can sing about the IRA, Rangers fans about the British Army, whoever else about whatever else they want.

But what you shouldnt accept is people being forced into stuff, especially political stuff for example say Celtic play Rangers on Easter 2016, should Rangers fans be forced into joining if Celtic wanted to hold a minute silence for the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising in Ireland which ultimately led to the forming of the Republic of Ireland years later, knowing fine well Rangers fans will disagree with it and still want Ireland as part of the UK etc

Actually it does. The club has to attract sponsors etc. The club needs a good image to sell itself. Things like this doesn't help the clubs image. Yes, fans have a right to protest but there are better ways to go about it. It was embarrassing yesterday with the silence distrupted.

For me what was embarrassing yesterday was 100,000s of fans taking part in silences as that what was expected of them and thats how theyve been moulded into thinking and believing without even understanding what they are doing.

Why does it have to be done at a football match - would you disrupt a minutes silence anywhere else??

Why does the silence need to be done at a football match?

There are too many contradictions and nonsense involved in football. Politics should be kept out of football.*

*Except any politics we the establishment want to include.

Remember last season, Celtic were fined by UEFA for having a political banner at a match and then THE VERY NEXT MATCH they themselves made EVERY TEAM in the competition pose behind a banner of Nelson Mandela - the irony was off the charts.

Celtic are a football Club, they dont have a nationality. Is you're local McDonalds American?

Celtic supporters come in all different Nationalities.

Whatever National teams they support or none if they dont support any.

From what I gather they seem to be mostly Scottish but think they are Irish(?), hate the British army but live and work in Britain paying taxes to fund the British army and will be supporting Ireland on Friday cheering on two Scottish players who also think they are Irish. Very complicated sense of identity.

I just don't see how the minutes silence can't be observed or if you hate it so much go outside for that minute which you know is coming.

really well celtic supporters are only to happy to remind you that celtic were the first "british" club to win the european cup

but yet casually call them a british club and you're likely to get a smack in the mouth...

bit ironic don't you think

I know lots of Celtic fans who are supporting Scotland on Friday. I think it will be a 50/50 split with the support.

Irony is the Uber Britishness of The Rangers, who love the Queen, Army and anything to do with any of them and yet used EBT schemes and flat out refused to pay tax, robbing their fellow British people of over £15million of tax.

Just imagine all the soldiers that snuffed it and what that money could have done for them, cheers

Yes, there's a big contingent called the Irish-Scots or the Glasgow Irish. They comprise many of the Catholics in Scotland and identify more with Ireland than Scotland, Both Aiden McGeady and James McCarthy probably fall into this category. It does mean Ireland will have significant support in the arena on Friday, apart from the 10-12,000 Irish born fans who intend going.

Wouldnt that mean Celtic (and you) paid taxes and bought the bullets to kill all these people in recent wars then? That's the flip side of your logic there.

That'll be why so many Celtic fans voted for indepedence. Not enough, alas, for Scotland to actually get independence though. Next time though......

In other news, another Celtic fan was acquitted in Amsterdam today of the violence last year when police officers dressed like casuals attacked Celtic fans and Celtic fans defended themselves. In this case the judge didn't believe evidence given by Dutch police and threw the case out.
