I can see them on the shirt and the stadium, low prices to get people coming in and buying merchandise. He makes money and to make money then Rangers would need to be successful. If that means buying cheap talented players from Europe/abroad to develop here and sell to England or loan talented Newcastle players to gain experience then he will I imagine.
The people coming in will be the season ticket holders who see the SD logos plastered everywhere on a weekly basis. The main advertising people see on TV at CL games is the pitch side hoardings and none of them will be advertising Sports Direct.

Mike Ashley paying transfer fees at Rangers? Will that be via another loan with security?

The whole thing is a time bomb, another £8 million required soon just to operate. The monthly P&L is a horror story yet your posts are about signing talented players from Europe, winning the Premiership and playing in the Champions League.

You must be a pint half full guy.

They are only a couple of signings away from the Champions League.

I've seen them live twice this year, and it was confusing both times really, how utterly pish they were.

It actually seems more likely than not at this point that Hearts beat Cowden, Alloa & Livi this month and Rangers drop more points at Hibs on the 27th, meaning Hearts would be 14 or 15 points clear on January 1st.

Yes that is more then likely. Hearts squad cost £0 didnt it?

With the league gone, rather than play Miller, Black, Jig etc wouldn't it be better for Rangers to blood youngsters that they could potentially sell to United, Aberdeen etc for £200-£300k to bring in some much needed funds?

To be fair we have handed out enough pain throughout the years to be ridiculed - but when we have fans like Frankie Fixer who does more damage as good with his deluded mince, is it any wonder we are the fall guys of Scottish football??

These uber fans have done more damage to the club in the last 3 years than they can imagine - to be fair McCoist has done just as much but as I have always said he was simply there to keep these loyal fans happy while they raped us ... he has prospered while we suffered.

The thing is some of these clowns still want to back him ...

He's more likely to get it in Newcastle than Govan.
If Newcastle qualify for Europe then Rangers can't play in Europe anyway.

What are you, talking about uber fans? The fans have kept the club going so stop talking absolute crap. Get a new manager in and the team will be better, it's not rocket science.

Since when did Aberdeen have £200k? You planning on being horsed in Europe off the champs of Azerbaijan or something?

You can't beat a bit of bear on bear action.

The fans haven't kept the club going at all. What has kept the new club going is multiple share issues and loans.

Oh no not a Celtic fan thinking they are a tax and accounting expert again.

How much money has been raised from ticket sales and how much has been raised from share issues and taking out loans?

Ian Baraclough is the new Motherwell boss.
Sacked by Sligo Rovers in his last managerial job. Sounds a great appointment!

Watching Rangers last night they look dreadful very surprised at how decent queen of the South were though.

At the moment I would not see them getting through the play off which could yet involve six games for them

I know I'm stating the obvious but the current St Mirren team are absolutely terrible.

Celtic could have taken 9 off them today.

Two former Gretna FC 2008 players, Gavin Reilly and Dan Carmichael.
Rangers should sign Gavin instead of wasting money.

I watched him when he was 16 scoring 32 goals in 30 matches.
Ok, at a fairly low level and saying to myself that lad has what it takes.
Must be in line for a Scottish Cap.

Rangers signed Nicky Clark who scored 41 in 46 for Queen of the South and he can't get a game so I couldn't see Reilly playing much. As for getting a cap, no.

SFA Charge Rangers and Mike Ashley with various breaches of rules appearing to relate to the dual interests of Mike Ashley.

Rangers have been charged with three alleged breaches and Ashley charged with 2.

Hearing has been set for 27th January 2015

Ah, the next instalment in the Ibrox Soap Opera ...

Edit : actually 27th January is some way off so they'll no doubt fit in a few special episodes before then.
