Aberdeen's AGM tonight. The club are now officially debt free.

Hopefully some news on a new training facility later as well.

The team are on a good run at the moment as well. 10 wins in 14 matches with our best two performances of the season being in our last two matches.

SFA Charge Rangers and Mike Ashley with various breaches of rules appearing to relate to the dual interests of Mike Ashley.

Rangers have been charged with three alleged breaches and Ashley charged with 2.

Hearing has been set for 27th January 2015
If Newcastle get relegated from the EPL then Ashley faces trouble from the EFL as they have different rules regarding ownership of two clubs.
Whatever way you look at it there is trouble ahead for Rangers

You might want to check out where Newcastle are in the league.

I know that but Newcastle have a habit of self destruction. This rule does not only apply to this season. As long as MA has interests in both clubs it will be there. Matter of time. Tick tock.............

Newcastle in 8th place with 23 points getting relegated. Utterly clueless.

Like it or not ( and many Newcastle fans wish there was more ambition ), Ashley seems to have his main priority as running a club which each year retains its Premier League status.

There is no iikelihood whatever of them losing that place anytime soon.

Only that the funding will be a challenge.

Tonev's appeal fails.

Apparently the weather may have played a part in Shay mishearing what he thought he was called.

UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against Celtic for "crowd disturbances" during their match with Dinamo Zagreb.

The matter will be dealt with by UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on February 19, 2015

It is the fifth time within the last three years Celtic have been hit with charges because of the behaviour of their supporters during European matches.
They haven't been attacking undercover coppers again have they? I heard a few got CS gassed and a slap over there.

Gattuso wants to manage Rangers
Link : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...ves-Ibrox.html

Poor poor Rangers - he's a shockingly bad manager. OK, his current team OFI are skint, but almost every team outside of the top 5 or 6 are skint - and he has better players than most of the other teams.
Still it'd be good to listen to him swearing like a squaddie in his post match interviews on the BBC

Dundee United's Paul Paton offered a 2 game ban by the SFA for spitting minutes after Jonny Hayes said on Twitter that Paton never spat at him.

So Newcastle maybe being relegated one day, a day which Mike Ashley might not even own them or own shares in Rangers, or the league rules on ownership may have changed is bad news for Rangers?

You're making a worse point than the poster who said Pique wasn't a good defender.

The credible and considered Shay Logan now being the playground idiot on social media.

Easy to see why Tonev was found guilty although I think comparing the way the Englishman Logan and the Bulgarian Tonev spoke suggests to me Tonev should have had an interpreter.

Of all the potential lines of defence I did have a chuckle at that.

Interesting that what Tonev has been found guilty of saying is not what Logan alleged he had said!

That is one scenario. What happens in the other case? I admire your "glass half full" attitude but surely you must have worked out by now that the Rangers saga is going to end very badly. Ashley is no saviour, just another in a long line to pick the carcase of Rangers.
Merry Xmas

Didn't realise more TV games had been announced bt sport seem to like dundee United another two on in January gives us 7 times on there now in just three months.

I do feel a little sorry for dundee as they are only on against United or celtic

Last season Hibs highlighted the fact that clubs aren't compelled to move more than four home games for TV. With two visits each from Celtic and United pre-split, that's our quota gone.

You'll notice United haven't had any home games picked apart from the Celtic and Dundee either. It'll be for the same reason - chances are you'll have another visit from Celtic post-split and they'll be keeping the last one in case there's another derby or there's some other meaningful game (European spots etc.).

I'd imagine away games are similar in that they'd rather fill clubs' quotas with higher-rating teams than Dundee. Although Celtic v Hamilton is almost as random as them picking Celtic v Dundee two seasons ago when we were more or less dead and buried.

Not that I'm complaining about a lack of TV games. It's only in the cups where you get appearance fees so we don't lose out on any cash. That, and Saturday 3pm suits me fine.

With the end of the year almost upon us it is a good time to say how you think 2014 has gone for your club. Also who has been your star man so far this season.

For Aberdeen it's hard not to say Adam Rooney as he has scored 17 times already this season but I would go with Jonny Hayes. 100% commitment every week no matter if he's playing left back, left wing or centre midfield.

Overall the team have had a good year, won a trophy and a semi final to look forward to in a few weeks. We also had European ties against a couple of good teams. Crowds are well up and off the field our turnover is up massively and of course we are now a club with no debt and the prospect of making profit as we no longer have interest payments to make.

For Dundee United inconsistency as always we beat who we are expected to beat but need better results against teams around us.

Our recent record against Celtic is dreadful.

I feel when we are on form we play the best football in the league and are the best team to watch.

Second is up for grabs and I would like to think we can get one of the cup competitions won

I'll have to go for either John Guidetti or Stefan Johansen for star man. Guidetti has hit the ground running and is scoring a decent amount of goals and Johansen has really came onto a game for us.

As for the season so far I'd give Celtic a 7/10. Still in both domestic cups, still in Europe and top of the league but there were some poor performances whilst the players were getting used to the system Deila wanted them to play.
