Well McCall did pump your lot to second place which means you had to play a team in Europe you had heard of. But no, an Aberdeen fan's opinion on a Rangers manager isn't worth taking any notice of.
As I said, McCall got plenty out those players. His record at Motherwell was excellent.

Who do you want/expect to replace the clipboard?

Dissapointing result for dundee United today especially with celtic drawing.

Celtic will still win the league possibly by single figures but it will be united and Aberdeens inconsistency that wins it for them

I'm not sure if that will be the case for Aberdeen. At the moment it is matches against Celtic that have cost Aberdeen. If both of those 2-1 results had been reversed then Aberdeen would have had the chance to go 10 points clear of Celtic tomorrow.

Outwith Celtic, the last team to even score against Aberdeen in the league was about 80 days ago.

St Johnstone seem to be playing well again, 7 consecutive wins in all comps now and we play them next week.

I've been a Celtic fan all my life. We will lose the league this season and to be honest I'm really not bothered. We don't deserve to win anything at the moment and it will be good for the game if Aberdeen or Dundee Utd win the league.

Celtic fans laugh at Rangers and their reincarnation but the complacent of our glory hunting support base has allowed for the long slow decline of Celtic over the past decade.
Celtic will almost certainly win the league fairly clearly in spite of themselves, because no other team is likely to be consistent enough to take advantage.

The only team I could see remotely challenging is Aberdeen, who have been in a decent run of form, and it would be good to see. But I doubt they'll finish close and can easily see them coming unstuck like tomorrow at Inverness.

This has always annoyed me. How come other teams can't muster the belief and mental steel to really go for it.

When Rangers still existed it meant 8 games a season out of 38 or whatever against the now defunct Old Firm.

How is it that steam can't excell in the othe games and Nick points here and there against Celtic and Rangers to actually challenge.

There's been too much defeatism and too much acceptance of mediocrity.

Wey hey, Saints climb off the bottom.

Not that it was totally surprising to find us doing better with no manager as against Tommy Craig as manager.

Maybe we can at least finish 2nd bottom and take our chances in the play-off against whoever emerges from such as Rangers / Hibs / QOS.

Aberdeen have picked up more points than Celtic this season in matches against the other 10 clubs. Played a match less as well so it is possible.

It should be. I think in the last 25 years maybe Aberdeen and Motherwell have challenged to the end once each.

I had the misfortune to catch your game vs Ross County.
Wee Franco's obsession with the champions continues as he goes round the internet looking for links for a game where he hates one of the sides and doesn't support the other side either.

6 goals shipped to Legia, 5 to Red Bull, 4 to Dinamo Zagreb.
I'd take that over 7 to Hibs, 5 to Alloa, 4 to Hearts, 4 to Queen Of The South and 3 to Ventura County Fusion.

If you're lucky you'll get Rangers, cos I'm thinking on current form they'll make an arse of it.

Big game today, really fancy a convincing Hibs win.
Superb performance, really fancied us. 4-0 maybe a bit beyond my expectations but Hibs -1 was a banker.

You could get 5/2 on a Hibs win during the week so -1 would have been a great price.

Did you have a nibble at all?

Unfortunately not, don't like betting on Hibs. I'm a jinx. Hopefully though we can take this momentum into the derby.

A win against St Johnstone on Thursday would put Aberdeen clear at the top of the table.

For a few hours at least.

Hard fought win the day, not the greatest game but sometimes you have to win ugly. Although the defence seemed a we bit nervy at times, thought murray did well replacing logan.

This is the time when the Aberdeen support needs to stand up and be counted.

Those who haven't bought season tickets need to buy a half season book so the club can give the manager some extra money to spend.

Timmy still pretending Deila is a great manager. You're only kidding yourself there. I don't know who is going to get a bigger beating, Celtic off Inter or your fans off the Italian police if they act up.

Buying half season books? Only if they are priced at about £10k each. There's no money in the scottish game there isn't even a sponsor for the top league. Tying up key players contracts should be their aim not buying players.

Armageddon seems quite localised Not doubting that things could be quite a bit healthier if Rangers were in the top tier, but the fault there lies with them.

Good to see so many teams being sensibly run.

And we are currently having one of the more competitive top tiers in European football. Pity our second tier ( the one that reputedly would hold all the interest, which I took to be football interest rather than morbid fascination ) is proving a bit of a procession, for first place anyway.

Yes but Scottish football is dire to watch and 10 or 12 team divisions makes boring 4 times a season football.

Wouldn't surprise me if more larger clubs drop out the Premiership.

It's still probably the set-up that works best in very difficulty circumstances.

I have been continually unimpressed with alternative suggestions, some of which I have frankly found laughable.
