Enjoyed Shay's time with us, unfortunately he fell down to 3rd in the pecking order - he was always good for a laugh with team mates, but would sometimes give away silly fouls.

How's he doing?
Ignore Frankie, he is the thread's pet troll.

Shay's done well, he was injured last week but should be back tomorrow just in time for us to move to the top of the league.

I know a Brentford fan and he liked him but said he lost his place when he got injured and never got back in the team due to his replacements performances.

Even Rangers getting million for Lewis Macleod was more than I thought they would get with their financial difficulties
I'd be surprised if they got anywhere near a million. Officially it's an undisclosed fee, I would hazard a guess at £600k with a few add on's.

Lower league teams will always up their game against higher level opposition.

I do think there is a big difference between Premiership and championship in scotland.

There is also a big gap between top 6 and bottom 6 of spl as last few seasons have proved.

Think there will be a big gap again

There is no discernible gap. Hamilton have shown that when they beat Celtic and are doing well in the league. Top 6 of the SPL means less and less now. Icelandic nobodies put out Motherwell in Europe who finished second.

You were the one saying Fraser Fyvie would be top quality and then denying anyone even built his hype up. Your incredibly vague summation of MacLeod is about as accurate as your Fyvie one.

You better hope so against Inter. Please let Efe Ambrose start and sell the Dutchman down south.

Seems we got MacLeod for £850k and not a single penny will go to Rangers , instead going directly to Mike Ashley..

Thoughts?

He's gone to a much smaller club and Mike Ashley will get his loaned money back. At least there is a sell on clause there. Not much else to say, MacLeod will either make it or bob around the lower league English teams and come back up here in his mid to late twenties.

Kind of wished I would have gone to the game today now

No public transport in Scotland on New Years day is a pain

Celtic game off. They postponed their game due to be played a week on Saturday a while back so a bit of a backlog building up as they are still in 3 cups.

Waterlogged pitch is it

Postponing of league games for a break for friendlies may come back and haunt them this season.

Could be down to third soon

Hopefully stays that way

Despite having a decent season I still feel we have thrown away too many points.

We beat who we are expected to beat usually convincingly thought but still drop too many silly points against other top six teams, although if United or Aberdeen get 80 points they won't be far from the title

On the whole there is a massive gap I will say it again as the last 90minutes proved

I think most sane people would agree with you.

So far Aberdeen have taken 25 points out of 27 against bottom 6 teams. I would imagine United and Caley have good records against them as well.

No there isn't. Hamilton went up as runners up last season and are doing much better than Dundee. You're dreaming if you think there is a massive gap. It isn't the English Premiership.
