I think most sane people would agree with you.

So far Aberdeen have taken 25 points out of 27 against bottom 6 teams. I would imagine United and Caley have good records against them as well.
Just dissapointed we will only play dundee once more

I don't want them relegated but I think they may just escape the bottom two but not by much

We have taken 27points against bottom six teams.

Still saying if United or aberdeen get to 80 points they won't be far from the title

Yes, there was a big gap last season between the top 6 and bottom 6 with St Johnstone in 6th place on 53 points finishing 13 points ahead of Ross County on 40 points who headed the group scrambling for survival.

5 of these top 6 are again in the top 6 positions with Hamilton ( and credit to them ) replacing Motherwell in the top 6 this season.

And we currently have :

5. Inverness 32 poinrs
6. St Johnstone 29
7. Kilmarnock 24
8. Dundee 21

With lately St Johnstone very much on the up and Kilmarnock on the down, as Dundee have been, there threatens again to be a very big gap between the top and bottom 6.

You don't just need to look at the league table, but as mentioned the ( clearly related ) consistent results of most of that top 6 vs bottom 6.

Motherwell are the perfect example of why there isn't a big difference. They finish second how many years running and even the runners up in the Championship beat them 4-0 and are doing better. If Hamilton with 1600 fans watching them finished second you wouldn't be too surprised.

Can't wait to see how Rangers might do against the current top 3 in any cup games

I'd imagine United would hand out a bigger thrashing than their usual annual drubbing of Rangers in the cup.

Celtic will win by whatever score takes their fancy in the semi final. I'll be hammering the handicap betting on that match.

Anybody seeking clarity on The The The Rangers situation should have a wee listen straight from the horses mouth (from 8.09 onwards):

Wee Fergus Clooney looks crestfallen by the end.

Rangers have beaten Inverness, St Johnstone and Kilmarnock this season. 3 teams that have all beaten you this season. Any thoughts that the top 6 Premiership teams are some gulf in class isn't true. Hamilton are showing that.

So the official take from the SPFL is that Rangers Football Club continues, it's the same club?

"Yes, it's the same club, absolutely."
A double whammy for the Dundee fan on here

Err, Hamilton are in the top 6.

Matches of top 6 v bottom 6 today :

P 3 W 3 D 0 L O F 14 A 3 9 PTS

There has been quite a disparity this season in top 6 vs bottom 6 matches.

That club that are 15 points ahead of the occasional cup tie winning Rangers must be a hell of a club

Yeah but they were second in the Championship last season. They are flying in the Premiership which shows you there isn't much difference between the Championship and the Premiership. If a team with 1600 fans can do it with hardly any money to spend then you know they haven't bought their way to the top. Kilmarnock a bottom 6 team beat Hamilton a few days ago and the bottom team got a draw at a team 29 points ahead of them.

Celtic dropping points in a third of their games and losing to teams they beat 6-1 is skewing the table as well. The quality isn't going up, it's coming down.

Good win the day for the Dons, played really well, could easily have been 5 or 6 nil. Big crowd the day, don't know figures but from my seat in the south stand it was pretty much full in the home sections. And with our next game the day before celtic play we could 4 points clear by then.

Or even fourth if Hamilton score enough.

I love Armageddon.

Got a question for Celtic fans.

If Celtic fail to win the title this season (I know its a big ask, but consider that its possible this season), will Deila get the axe? as a Celtic fan, I can say that I've never took to him and don't think he's really delivered in the job as has other celtic managers in the past. Just want to get other Celtic fans opinions.

Aberdeen fan here, no Celtic, but can i just say, Celtic should be doing better with the players at their disposal, but please take nothing away from others, ie Aberdeen, Dundee Utd , Hamilton, watching Aberdeen the day was a joy, it wasn't a team under pressure looking too bottle it, as in the past, it was a team looking full of confidence believing they are good enough. The scoreline really did flatter St Johnstone, could easily been a lot more. Until today i thought all this talk of us as challengers was just a laugh, but after today, this Aberdeen team are starting too show, not only the skill, work rate etc, but the arrogance and confidence fergie's teams had.

If we don't win the league then Deila goes - however we are still in four competitions so long way to go.

If Celtic don't win title, Delia goes, no question. Winning the cups won't be enough to save him his job. Getting back into Champions League is so important.

Seems Tony Watt is returning to Britain to sign for Charlton and Willie McStay is returning to Celtic.

11 clean sheets in Scott Brown's first 13 games for Aberdeen now.

7 consecutive wins and clean sheets in the league.

Rooney onto 19 goals for the season.

Bring on St Mirren at the weekend.

It's some run alright and to be honest we haven't hit top form yet.

Just hope we don't screw up against St Mirren like the 2-2 game at Pittodrie. That late collapse by us still annoys me.
