Nothing to do with you, but on the vidi-printer when they put the score like that, with it written down in brackets, it just puzzels me, why do it for some scoreline, but not others?

So 1 (one) - 2 (two) for example??

Why is seven the arbitrary figure chosen?

Congratulations on an even more stupid question than the one about vanishing spray yesterday.

I have always assumed that they type in big scores to emphasise that it's not a mistake.

So they clearly had to choose some score, i.e. hardly going to type out every score such as Dundee United 0 ( nil ) Partick Thistle 2 ( two ). Unnecessary waste of time and cluttering things up when you just want to emphasise / repeat really unusual scorelines.

7 ( seven ) seems to me quite a good choice in that it's probably about 7 ( seven ) and above that folk really start having double takes at.

I'm not sure that you've yet quite taken on the message : "think before you type", batdude ( will you ever? ), but anyway above is the answer I'd say.

Don't know re the bottom five, jenzie. I'd guess at probably, but pretty rare.

Actually the bottom six didn't lose and the bottom four actually won.

We win ( and at home! ) and so do the others. Ruddy annoying!

It's not a stupid question. It's one I've seen asked quite a few times.

Often the questions asked most are the stupid ones.

Such as "Why did Ryan Giggs not play for England?"

Here is my daft question. Why is there a six yard box? Whats the point as it doesn't make any difference as far as the rules go.

The trouble is it came from someone, who increasingly looks like he's taking the piss.

Anyway, the above is the final time I will answer any of his questions.

Ever seen the attacking side takea free kick inside the 6 yard box?

The box is there so the defending team can take a free kick inside it, but the attacking team can't.

Not really a stupid question when people see he played for England schoolboys and might not know about the rule change of eligibility only being fairly recent. Man Utd will have fans from all over the world who might not know the differences in eligibility in the UK etc.

Is that in the rules for I have never heard of that before. Not doubting what you say but that sounds like a rule that was in five a side at one tme

And its not stupid to ask why on a vidiprinter you wouldn't put the word (one) after 1 every time?

He's right, if you've ever seen a goalkeeper pick up a pass back inside the 6 yard box then it's always taken on the 6 yard line. Same with other indirect free kicks that are very rarely given inside the 6 yard box.

Goal kicks are also taken 6 yards out so there needs to be a mark/line for them as well.

Dundee Utd haven't looked the same team since you sold GMS and Arnstrong to us. Replacing those quality players will be difficult.

perhaps because "7" on the vidiprinter may look like a "1", so they have "seven" beside it?
