They really haven't.

The Rangers are so adamant they're not a new club, yet haven't actually put it to the test themselves from a legal point of view. Plenty of individuals and organisations have opened themselves up to liable action, if The Rangers are to be believed, but none has been forthcoming.

Funny, that.
Lord Nimmo Smith is a former Senator of the College of Justice, a judge of the Supreme Courts of Scotland, sitting in the High Court of Justiciary and the Inner House of the Court of Session. I think he might know a thing or two about the legal side of it. If Rangers weren't the same club then why was Charlie Telfer ruled to have been with them for 10 years an Dundee Utd had to pay the compensation?

As Doncaster said, it has been long settled.

Because if anyone in authority ever dared say The Rangers are a new club, there would be the "civil unrest" we were promised in 2012. The only people who can't see the pandering and arse-licking that has gone on regarding the club (or is it company) currently playing at Ibrox, are fans of that club (and the one before it).

You've hit the nail on the head there.

People are scared of telling the truth when it comes to that lot.

They are a new club and they know it.

Well done Falkirk dreadful game in the windy weather.

Picture quality was terrible and it kept breaking up as there is no bbc2 scotland hd on Virgin.

It looked like the game was filmed on someone's mobile
The break up was probably wind-related too. Is there a BBC 2 Scotland HD anywhere?

Like the ramblings you hear at Carstairs

"Jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams!"
"The moon landing was a hoax!"
"The earth is flat!"
"Rangers aren't the same club!"

Fantasist conspiracy theorists living in another world.

exactly - the lunatic ramblings of demented tims because absolutely everyone credible says we are the same club they are a) either biased or b) civil unrest would ensue - both of these scenarios are based on absolutely no evidence and disregard the main bit of evidence - in the uk, twenty other clubs have went into admin, the club has been transferred over to a newco, then their old holding companies have been liquidated and absolutely no-one has suggested they were a newco

Dreadful weather and pitch made the game almost unplayable. Should score with 21 attempts though but it looked like a day nobody would score.

Rangers have the problem Hearts had last season, being they need players who are obviously going to get punted the day after the season ends to perform for them now, and there's no chance that will happen.

I was looking forward to the Hearts matches in April and all, and now they're likely all meaningless.

Oh I'm sure the Hearts fans will enjoy the Rangers games.

I remember when they had just pipped Rangers to second place in the league and entry into the Champions League ( err qualifiers ) them turning up for the last game of the season at Ibrox with sombreros and beach balls.

And more bollocks to Ross County winning

Hibs in the semis as expected. Side issue might be if hibs get to the final on the 30th may.

The championship play off finals are scheduled for 28th and 31st may.

I wonder what will happen to the dates if they are up against you know who in the final

The final is Championship v Premiership, so they can play "you know who".

I'd expect the dates to be moved to 27th May and 3rd June. Stupid, though, of the SPFL to announce those dates when three teams who could potentially be involved were still in the cup. Unless they aren't daring to think that Sevco don't make the final...

Nothing but a bit of incompetent refereeing to liven up the afternoon - not only an over-reaction in two red cards but Thomson sent off the wrong Dundee united player and Ciftci's boot in Broonys face was missed.

No wonder Thomson looked bemused at the linesman before issuing the two reds.

D'Utd down to 9 men - can't fault Thomson for that red - definite goal denied by the arm.

Resulting pen saved - match is dramatic for all the wrong reasons.

Dundee v Celtic on 18th March would probably be postponed again.

Christ knows why they didn't schedule Dundee v Celtic for this coming midweek and leave next midweek free for a potential replay.

EDIT: but then Dundee v Celtic really needs played before the split because it could have a bearing on the top 6. So maybe postpone Celtic v Dundee Utd from 21st March, play the replay then and schedule the league game for after the split.

If a replay is required, natch.

But you have the added problem of sky certainly wanting to televise any replay and you can have other live stuff against european games.

On that basis I can see the midweek games of 8th April the Derby being postponed

That's getting too close to the semis. The most logical solution is to postpone Celtic v Dundee Utd and play any replay that weekend.
