If the Judicial Panel think the appeal is "frivolous" (in other words, designed to allow him to play on Saturday) he'll get an extra game.

I do think what is dissapointing now through these United v celtic games is the bad atmosphere that has developed between the two clubs now.
The more poor results we get the more the moans seem to be coming in. In case McNamara forgets it's no wins in 7 now, people will say fourth is ok but is it really, but clubs with smaller resources than United, ie inverness don't moan like we do and seem to do fine If we don't get into Europe McNamara will be gone |

Tom English usually makes sense but his assertion last night that the United keeper didn't deserve a red card was laughable (literally, as the other pundits laughed when he said it!).
Will need to watch the highlights. Quote:

The Utd fans were already singing those songs at the cup final. I suppose Celtic fans will just need to shout a bit louder about the IRA.

Any idea what Dundee will do if McGowan gets the jail?
Will they stand by him or sack him? The maximum is 12 months with potentially 25% off for an early guilty plea and out in half for good behaviour (so 4.5 months). So he could be out in time for the start of next season. I'm not sure where I stand, to be honest. From a purely footballing perspective, he's a very good player and there's a risk that if he's let go he'll just sign for one of our rivals once he's out. |

In real time in the ground I thought the attacker knocked it too far by the keeper so it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity and a yellow was the right decision.
Will need to watch the highlights. |

No idea. I think it might depend on the sentence.

Never realised that 12 months was the maximum he could be sentenced to. I thought it could have been way more than that for police assault.
I'm guessing the Crown Office didn't envisage a sentence greater than that or they'd have prosecuted under solemn procedure. |

That'll be why all that anyone from United has done in the last 2 weeks is whinge like hell in the media. In case McNamara forgets we haven't beaten anymore since stranraer, have been pretty dreadful in most games, poor quality replacement signings. McGowan, Dixon etc |

More like the curse of Tom English - the guy is a complete walloper!
Indeed I ageee with these that think Tom English is just about the best football pundit on Radio Scotland ( admittedy not enormous competition ) and certainly much more worth listening to than most. |

Motherwell playing pretty well here, fancy them to finish second bottom.
No given that hibs would beat motherwell over two games. Could have the likes of hibs, Rangers and St mirren in the championship next season, which would mean not a certainty that Rangers would come up next season either |

Finally this quadrilogy of games will be over by 5pm today.
Will be glad to see the back of Dundee Utd for a while and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. |

That's Hearts up. Well done to them, and the best team, by far, won it.
