Former Raith Rovers chairman Turnbull Hutton has sadly died, R.I.P
Sad news, one of the few folk in Scottish football who called a spade a spade.

Hibs have picked a bad time to have a poor spell of results. That added to The Rangers looking like that have gotten their act together and you have to think that it'll be The Rangers in the play off against whoever finishes 11th in the Premiership.

Pressure growing on Jackie McNamara no wins in 9, 1 point from last 18 in league games.

Could they yet slip out the top 6 if they lost to Dundee in midweek
99.9% no, because Hamilton are 3 points behind United, have a 12 worse GD and have only one match left to play before the split.

St Johnstone and Dundee can still overtake United, but realistically not Hamilton ( unless they win their remaining pre split match and United lose all their remaining pre split matches and the GD gap is turned round ).

Motherwell were very good tonight.

St mirren are gone now, the commentary touched on the fact that whoever were second in the championship were assumed to be coming back up.

Recent results have proved this is far from the case and there is a fair chance that both Hibs and rangers may still be in the championship next season

Think it will be Rangers v Partick with Rangers going up

Think you might be right, partick would be an ideal soft opponent for rangers

There was Thistle ambling along perfectly happily with 3 poor teams well below them.

Then Motherwell and more particularly Ross County take off.

Even Killie could possibly get drawn in if they don't get themselves a few more points, but Thistle certainly right in it.

As for Rangers, entertaining as they have been, I'd prefer that they now buzzed off to the Premiership now that St Mirren are heading in the opposite direction.

What a catastrophic goal conceded by dundee United.

However it's a penalty 1-1 then

Well that was enjoyable.

Interestingly, our last win against Utd involved a goal through the keeper's legs. A weak John Sutton header very late against Paul Jarvie. United were down to 9 men, IIRC.

QoS 0-11 Rangers in corners

QoS 3-0 Rangers in goals

Goosebumps wasn't it?

Was poor defending and not taking your chances. Celtic fans better hope Rangers go up or it's diddy europa league for you again next year and you can pretend losing to a pedestrian Inter Milan was a great honour.

Do you see Rangers potentially winning two legs against Queen of the South, then Hibs, then Motherwell?

Celtic trying to pretend there is some title race with duff Aberdeen sides is hardly something to crow about. If Rangers don't go up then wave bye bye to any strengthening of your squad for Europe. It'll be back to the bargain basement and loan deals and moaning about being outclassed by average European sides at home.

LOL, the European tournament that we play in next season will have nothing to do with what division The Rangers are playing in.

Why would Celtic need to strengthen their side should the 3rd best team in the second tier get promoted?
Hearts will be a bigger threat than Rangers (if they can even manage promotion).

You don't half haver, it's obvious you don't even believe half the shit you post.

Yeah you just really preferred the Thursday night games that's why you were in the Europa league. Not because your cheap board didn't strengthen and went out the champions league (twice) because there is no domestic competition. Even your stronger Europa team was still outclassed by minnows. Lol.

You are only just now pulling away from an Aberdeen team who have had the budget of a tramp on giro day. Celtic should be well ahead in terms of a squad now but your best players look to be off or aren't even yours.

There are much worse boards than Celtic's

Anyway even the Europa on a Thursday night is rather better than a thumping in Dumfries on a Thursday night. Never mind you can have a wee trip down Paisley Road next season.

I hope you've not missold the Championship as being the place to be. We put a lot of effort into being so crap that we could join it.
