Seriously though, what did Celtic ever hope to achieve ? What other answer did they expect other than the officials didn't see it ?
That it was indeed a conspiracy against Celtic ? - naa, couldn't have expected that.
That it was a new interpretation for dealing with a player sticking a hand in front of a goal bound effort ? Naa, couldn't have expected that.
It was basically to no purpose really apart from appeasing a lot of their fans, Celtic FC demands answers. And by such a highlight on the reply that the officials didn't see it then probably the cause of the SFA's retrospective attempt to ban Meekings.
Pretty shabby by Celtic.
