A great memory. Let's hope for something similar - if more successful in the end - against ROI.

Predictable result but we are poor anyway despite what our media tell us

A hard luck story in the play offs is still the likely end outcome

Can't believe football is starting again shortly.

Aberdeen beat TNS behind closed doors at the weekend and have a friendly against Brechin tonight.

We have a tough draw in Europe, the first round should be straight forward especially as the away match has been moved to Skopke and away from an utter hell hole full of psycho's.

Rijeka will be very hard, they knocked Stuttgart out in 2013/14 and last season they beat Feyenoord and drew with eventual champions Seville in the group stages. They sold their best striker for £9 million earlier this year, hopefully he's not been replaced yet.

Good to luck to yourselves St Johnstone and Inverness but you can't see any of you make much progress in it.

The pre season nature of Europe these days it very difficult and also how it is seeded.

You have wee teams like borussia Dortmund and atletico Bilbao joining in the third qualifying round

The benefit of drawing Rijeka is that if we beat them then we take their seeding and become a seeded team in round 3 so would avoid big teams this time round.

I imagine the play off round would be brutal though.

Hopefully the end for Clangers (and Brown) at Aberdeen.

It seems we are signing 22 y/o Danny Ward from Liverpool on a years loan, hasn't played for them yet but was on their bench 20 odd times last season and just signed a new 5 year contract with them this week.

No idea if he is any good but big clubs don't tend to hand out 5 year deals to guy's in their 20's unless they are pretty decent.

Kenny McLean's had a few months to get up to speed with us now. Shinnie is excellent and Paul Quinn's a capable centre half. Also got a young striker from Man City signed for a couple of years. I'm very happy with our dealings at the moment, also pleased that Ryan Jack is our new captain.

Double edged sword.

On one have you a player a team want to keep on, on the other he has only played 6 senior games at the age of 22.

I can't understand how Jamie Langfield has survived at Aberdeen. He's atrocious. He must have compromising pictures of the Chairman's wife or something.

I have a feeling he may be released after his testimonial next month.

We've had numerous keepers in the last 10 years and he has seen them all off, just shows how bad they all must have been.

Mark Howard, Stuart Nelson, Bertie Bossu, David Gonzalez, Jason Brown, Derek Soutar, Scott Brown. Clangers is Zoff'esque compared to that lot.

Zaluska has been freed, you can take him to Aberdeen.

I'm watching Celtic's friendly just now. Den Bosch have barely been out their own half so far.

2-0 just now, GMS with both goals.

That was a good work out tonight.

Great to see so many youngsters on at the end, hopefully a number of them will get a decent amount of first team action in the current season.

Hopefully GMS finds his way to the Scotland squad this season but I wouldn't bank on it

I kinda gave up watching when a whole load of subs were waiting to come on around the hour mark.

I spent the last 20 minutes looking for the subtle changes to St Mirren Park rather than what was happening on the pitch.

The Buddies were happy about that Celtic club shop sign.

What was with the Albania scarves in the home end tonight? Is that club from an area where many see themselves as Albanian as opposed to Macedonian?

Have a quick look on google or youtube, they are a bunch of mentalists.

We looked very good in the 1st half but tired in the heat in the 2nd and miles away from being match sharp. That will come soon though.

Celtic sell Adam Matthews to Sunderland for £2m - not bad for someone who started well but faded as injuries became more frequent.

Celtic sign Ciftci from its feeder club.

Whether he'll become a player worthy of the no.7 Jersey is another thing.
