Is Jackie getting a slice of the transfer fee?

Got to say I'm a bit underwhelmed with the signings so far. I don't expect top tier players for obvious reasons but I thought we'd be after a bit better.

I guess it shows where the SPFL Premiership is whilst Scottish people are happy to fill the coffers of EPL teams.

St Johnstone out and Aberdeen through by the skin of their teeth.

Not a great night.

Great save by Ward in the 91st minute.

In spells we look very good but in the main we were slack for large periods. I don't think they were as bad as made out to be and their highest earner is on more than anyone at AFC.

I did expect it to be a bit more comfortable though. Regardless, through and onto Croatia next week.

From what I seen of shkendija tonight they are better than everyone bar the top 2 in Scotland.

Hasani looks a quality player and can see why he played in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, far too good for his current team but supposedly a local company stumping up the cash for his large wage.

I fear we will get a bit of a hammering next week, a very tough tie.

All Scottish teams out bar Celtic by the end of July as normal.

Think Inverness and Aberdeen will get absolute hidings in the next round

There have been at least two teams involved in or after August for as long as I can remember.

14/15 Aberdeen
13/14 St Johnstone
12/13 St Johnstone
11/12 Motherwell

Before then you had Rangers and Hearts and in 08 Aberdeen were still involved in late February.

Decent performance tonight after a rocky start and a decent goal.

Some great skill by Thumb, I still want him gone, and unlucky with the shot.

That away top is a thing of beauty.

Since Henrik we've have Juninho, Zurawski, McDonald, Robbie Keane, Ljungberg and Miku as number 7.

Juninho, Ljungberg and Miku were absolute dross for us.

It is a poisoned chalice.

A legend after 8 cans of lager.

You've made good signings in Kevin Cawley and Calum Waters.

Yes. If young Waters is as good as big Stuart Findlay was, we're onto a winner. The Sons have some good signings on board for next season. Particularly impressed by Willie Gibson.
Good to see Findlay get his chance at Kilmarnock now.

The bottom half of the Championship is going to be really interesting.

The team Alloa have had for most of the last 4 years has been split up and they are starting afresh under Danny Lennon. Sad to see Ben Gordon, Darryl Meggat and Ryan McCord go but they deserve the chance at full time football.

Mad to think Scott Bain was playing for Alloa last year and has had a Scotland call up.

Dundee United interested in taking Stevie may on loan.

Can't say I'm excited we do better with unknowns rather than the failed scots on the megabus back home

Our target is 8th place, every year, we finished 5th, just missed a playoff place 2 years ago which was great. It's only us & Alloa who are part-time in the Championship now. There's a lot to be said for part-time football now though, if you've a decent job & playing part-time you can earn well financially. Think we pay between £300-£400 per week, 2 training sessions & the Saturday match. Not forgetting the win bonus- £100+, decent cash for doing what you love. A good example is St Mirren tried to sign Garry Fleming from us & he turned them down to stay part-time with us.

Half of Scottish football is interested in May it appears. Guess he'll end up at sevco.

Christian Nade is back in the top flight, at Hamilton Academical. Didn't see that coming.

Looks like we are trying to sign billy McKay from Wigan .

I'm guessing we will need to pay 100,000 so finally going to spend some of the 9 million or so in transfer fees taken in from the last year

Very comfortable victory, the penalty would have killed the tie.

What a night for Aberdeen. 3-0 up and cruising away to Rijeka.

Great result this for Aberdeen as I thought they would get a hiding.

Good news as well in that in the third qualifying round they effectively become a seed, avoiding the quite big boys who come in at the next round

1 defeat in 52 home matches for Rijeka. That includes European matches against Sevilla, Feyenoord, Standard Liege, Lyon, Real Betis and Stuttgart.

What a brave decision to leave Rooney out and play Goodwillie instead.

I would have been very happy with a narrow defeat and an away goal. Absolutely stunned by our performance and the result.

Great result, obviously lucky for the second goal but a superb away performance.

If only our other teams could play like that.

As good a result as that was for Aberdeen, I think it's pretty obvious that HNK Rijeka underestimated them.

Pity about Caley losing. Wasn't too surprised though.

We seem to have a proper keeper at last, bit of a shock seeing an Aberdeen keeper come off his line and collect crosses.
