Great result this for Aberdeen as I thought they would get a hiding.

Good news as well in that in the third qualifying round they effectively become a seed, avoiding the quite big boys who come in at the next round
Its probably good news for United as we'll likely have been involved in a tough match three days before we face United. Same scenario as last season and you won easily.

Yes and you are going even further this time to Kazakhstan, reasonable draw for Celtic.

Be nice if Inverness could turn it around and get a game against West Ham but you can't see it

Police Scotland will be loving that!

Cartsdyke could be interesting after the game.

Far end of the country as well, quite close to the Chinese border.

They look a reasonable team and have a bit of cash behind them but I fancy our chances of reaching the play off round now. Stuart Duff played over 50 games with them until 2013, hopefully they are still around his level.

Garry Kenneth fairly gets about!

Lower leagues of England, Dundee Sheriff court, Brechin, Carsnootie, Oz and now Skonto Riga.

Certainly does remember Chelsea were allegedly interested

Nadir Ciftci found guilty of biting and given an eight match ban, two of which are suspended.

Well deserved ban.

Ciftci can be such a liability.

I was impressed with Ciftci the few times I saw him playing for Utd but in the 2 performances I've see from him in a Celtic shirt he looks as mobile as Chris Killen/Daryl Murphy.
No coincidence that we looked much better when Griffiths went up top last night. I just hope he needs some match sharpness but not impressed so far.

That'll be £20m Middlesbrough have spent on 2 players, and some people are still surprised when Celtic can't compete with Championship clubs.

He doesn't feature in the squad.

Do think he could help them get promoted

Happy with the result. First 55 minutes was pretty dull, AFC content to just sit in and let them have the ball as they were doing little with it. Then they scored a decent goal and followed it up with another that took a big deflection but just as the door was opening it was slammed shut again.

Goodwillie was excellent again, far more suited to the role in European games than Rooney is.

I meant inverness

Aberdeen travelling about 4000miles to their game, which suit me as they travel to tannadice after it

Can see Aberdeen trying to postpone a league game if they get to the play off round

Although it did the job, i hate this sitting in, was far too deep at times especially in the second half, nae good for the nerves.
Thought everyone had a good game tonight, especially glad we signed Shinnie though, awesome player.
