I said a few weeks ago subject to the draw you could be competitive in the Europa group.

The champions league group stages they would have been hugely ou of their depth

Wee Ronnie's comments before the game just showed hims up as nothing more than a loudmouthed blowhard. Hopelessly out of his depth at this level.

Remember this gem from Ronnie last year:

“In one year I think it is right for the fans and everybody to judge me.

“If we don’t win the league, we don’t have anything to do with the Champions League then then they can say to me, ‘Hey what a bad job’. And I will take it no problem.”

Not quite sure what your point is. I have not seen any media from Ronnie saying anything other than we were just not good enough. He is not hiding or claiming it was anyone else's fault.
He has no alternative but to take the blame. He replaced Mathews and Denayer with lesser players.
Still, I would rather be in the "depths" of the Europa League than making a third attempt at winning the Petrofac Training Cup.

You don't see the point in him saying last season 'judge me in a year', and a year has passed and he has still failed? He's a total dud as a manager that had 3 attempts at Champions League qualification in 2 seasons and failed every time, which is surely a record.

Glad you want to keep him though.

His failure in Europe put the company out of business.

Meanwhile our failure means we're in the Europa league.

Even Ally didn't go out of the qualifiers 3 times in 2 seasons. Remember when Celtic fans laughed at Rangers going out to Maribor and Malmo?

You're clinging on to Deila the Dud like he clings on to Johansen being a good midfielder. Time to face up to the truth.

Nah, Sally just got beaten in every cup competition every season.

You'll be hammered in that too with chief clown Collins bemoaning the quality in Scotland as if the Polish, Slovenian and Swedish league offer such high quality.

Ally has won more Scottish league titles than Deila

You couldn't even win a treble when you have had multiple free runs at it against teams with almost zero budget. That Malmo team that hammered you was worth about as much as you paid for Nadir Çiftçi and his mate.

See Spain has 5 teams in the 32 team pot for the group stages of the Champions League.

They deserve 5 teams. Who should miss out? Imagine what Sevilla or Valencia would do to Celtic? Villarreal and Bilbao who were 6th and 7th I'd rather see in the Champions League compared to Malmo or Celtic based on last night. I'd happily see the top 6 teams from the big leagues make it in at the expense of the dross.

You wouldn't be saying this if Rangers were in the Champions League.

Good to see the Zombie Nation having a laugh.

After all, they have had little to smile about for quite a while.

Teams not in the Champions League I'd want to see ahead of Celtic and Malmo:

Liverpool
Tottenham
Marseille
Monaco
Borussia Dortmund
Schakle 04
Milan
Fiorentina
Napoli
Inter

When teams from Slovenia and Sweden are giving you a cuffing year in year out it's time to admit that Europa league is your level and let the big boys play big boy games with their big boy toys.

Wouid you want those teams instead of Rangers if they had a chance to qualify? Least Celtic play in Europa. Rangers won't be playing in Europe for years.,

Have you seen Rangers play this season? 99 shots in the last 5 games? Do you think Deila is the right man for the job?

You play teams in Championship. Hardly Champions League.

Supporters of Celtic have been moaning they should go straight into the champions league as champions. After watching that last night if I was a Dortmund/Villarreal/Liverpool fan I'd be moaning why do those two poor teams get a chance?

The team that won the championship is top of your league winning every game and you could only manage a draw with the worst team in the Premiership who John Collins thought 'don't test you enough'.

Neither's the SPL so why Ronnie the Roarer thought his duds were too good for the qualifiers is beyond me.

He never said that. He has always said that Champions League is difficult.
