Dire performance by Scotland. Big disappointment.

England, Wales and N. Ireland can all qualify by Monday night, would hate to think Scotland missed out because of an inability to shoot on target.

Questions are already being asked about Strachan's position.
Only problem is, who could replace him? Would Derek McInnes leave Aberdeen? Or would the SFA go cheap and just promote Mark McGhee (shudder). I can almost guarantee that whoever the next Scotland manager is (and whenever he takes over), he'll be Scottish. The Berti Vogts legacy. |

Gotta say the honeymoon period is certainly over for wee Gordie. Thing is we have so many average players in the squad I think you have possibly got to play the players in form and not always the tried and trusted - especially when you are at the start of the season
No matter in one of our most important games we should have been more fired up than we were and the buck has got to stop with the manager - if anything we gave Georgia too much respect - if you invite any team on to you at home they are going to just grow in confidence. Truth be told we probably aren't much better than these minnows - when you consider how many of our players have made multi-millions in the English game it really does bring home what a mucked up game the EPLL is. |

Sack the clown. An embarrassment to the country not getting a shot on target, with a shit defence, hopeless midfield and a striker who is absolute 100% gash.

The problem is we are back to playing players whether they are playing much club football.
You saw the low fitness levels of the team last night. The problem is far too many players are still guaranteed a start irrespective of form. The team is aging we are not bringing players through apart from Robertson , Wales and Northern Ireland are managing to and you see the benefits now. I was never part of the Strachan journey as I knew we would get to this stage mainly through all of the above We have very little quality in the squad either |

Sacking Strachan won't help the problem. We would still have the same players. I take it you would have been happy for Griffiths to start last night? Considering how much you hate him, it would be hypocritical for you to want him in the team.
It looks like England, Northern Ireland and Wales will all qualify and it is just Scotland who will miss out unless we get some luck. |

I though Scott Brown was very poor and ineffectual last night. His comments after the game were embarrassing, going on about being unlucky, still a long way to go and missing chances. What chances? Just the same, predictable stock phrases trotted out after every disappointment. Strachan, as well, was back to his sarcastic worst. He really is an unlikeable wee guy.

A good manager might stop picking crap like Fletcher or Mulgrew at centre back. Leigh Griffiths isn't up to the job at international standard to lead the line, the guy can't even play against Malmo away without acting like a raging ned.

Scotland will not recruit a top manager. Strachans as good as we will get.

Unless Strachan goes most of this squad will be in their usual places at the start of the wc campaign next year.
The average age of the squad is pushing towards 30. Some of these players will have about 5 campaign failures on their cv now |

I still think 6 points from Poland and Gibraltar should see us in to 3rd.

Beating the likes of croatia was when it didn't matter nothing at stake. We will finish fourth . In some ways Monday doesn't matter as I fear we may get a bit of a hiding. Can see Germany scoring four or five to be honest Poland and Ireland draw will probably suit both it last game |

He's a bottle merchant like he was in Malmo. We'll never progress as long as Strachan keeps picking lower end Premiership duds and his mates from Celtic.

No surprise you hate Brown. Your showing your Rangers bias here. Whoever takes over as Scotland boss will get same results.

Last night was Scotland's version of Malmo and Brown & co bottled it. Not even a shot on goal against Georgia. Thank god Rangers were playing and I got to see football the way it was meant to be played.

Hutton was way worse then Mulgrew and Brown.
Quote:
Alan Hutton: 6/10 Mulgrew isn't a centre back and McArthur is a better midfielder than Brown who plays well at a much higher level. Strachan is picking all his Celtic mates and dross like Fletcher from a higher league standard but aren't playing well. If Rhodes 'can't lead the line' on his own then what is it Fletcher is supposedly doing? Hopeless selection from Chesney.
Saw plenty of space down the right and was determined to fill it early but forced backwards too often by a lack of pressure on the ball in front of him. Defensively sound. Charlie Mulgrew 5/10 Looked fine in the first half hour, carrying on from his Dublin display, despite the physicality of the Georgian attack - but generous with the room at the goal. Shipped out to left back for last half hour. Deckchairs, Titanic… Scott Brown 5/10 Struggled to impose himself in the middle of the park. Georgia’s tempo and passing had him constantly on the back foot as the game went around him. Caught short at the goal too. Nowhere near his best. |

We can make all the positive noises about tomorrow but I think we will take a bit of a hiding unfortunately .
Goetze and Muller will run amok with that defence |

It's unlikely we'll get any points from Germany but we live in hope.
Can Georgia take anything off ROI? Again we live in hope.... |
