Player ratings in the paper:
Mulgrew isn't a centre back and McArthur is a better midfielder than Brown who plays well at a much higher level. Strachan is picking all his Celtic mates and dross like Fletcher from a higher league standard but aren't playing well. If Rhodes 'can't lead the line' on his own then what is it Fletcher is supposedly doing? Hopeless selection from Chesney.

It's unlikely we'll get any points from Germany but we live in hope.
Can Georgia take anything off ROI? Again we live in hope.... |

we need to hope Ireland get beaten in their last two games against Germany and Poland (presuming they get 3 tomorrow). Presuming we get nothing tomorrow, we need six from Poland and Gibraltar to finish third. Still possible

If we somehow manage to scrape third, it's inevitable we'll get The Netherlands.
I remember when the expansion to the Euros was announced and we were told by the Scottish Media that it would be harder to not qualify. Even if a top-2 place in the group was out of the question, it would only be dross left in the play-offs because all the big guns were already through. How wrong they were on so many fronts. |

Watching the Wales game you realise how much of a difference a couple of creative players make to a fairly ordinary side.
Scotland badly lack creative players to make a differences in these qualifying games. Maloney is supposed to be creative but it's a done at a slow one touch too many type pace, compared to how the likes of bale and Ramsay move the ba,k for Wales |

We don't have anyone that is world class like Bale or even Arsenal class like Ramsey or a good solid centre back like Williams. We're lumbered with our number one picks being Sunderland players that can barely score or our 'Gareth Bale' being 32 year old Shaun "Chicago Fire" Maloney. It will be a minor miracle if we don't take a hiding tomorrow.

Come on Frankie, even your trolling is out of date these days!
Bad tactics, stubborn refusal to play anyone but whose face fits and what sounds like a joke of a preparation of the flights. Like Celtic in Malmo even a draw would have done us a good turn and he goes and loses it without a shot on goal. |

Still possible to finish 3rd but no longer in our own hands. Have to win last 2 games. I think we'll lose tomorrow.
If we win our three remaining games, at worst we'll be level on points with Poland - but would be ahead of them on head-to-head (1 win and 1 draw). Huge 'if', though. |

They've just said on Sky that it is still in our own hands, and they're right.

Its not really in our own hands - we need Ireland to lose their last 2 games if we don't win tonight. We also need to beat Poland and Gibraltar.
Team looks horrendous a lot of undroppable players it seems |
