Frankie will be gutted Fletcher scored, after slagging him off in the last game.

Let's just hope Poland thrash Ireland - it would be utterly gutting to see Ireland win, which would have taken us into the play-offs had we held on tonight.

Of course, it was the result in Georgia that was our undoing for the second time in recent history. On any other night, a draw against Poland is a decent result, but we were always pissing into the wind after the Tbilisi shambles and this was the game we needed to win to make up for it.

Yep blew in Georgia. This was the best opportunity in years and failed again.

Blame the Georgia result, but Ireland and Poland took points off Germany, Scotland didn't.

We beat them once and drew in Ireland. Scotland don't deserve to go through if you can only beat Georgia, Ireland and Gibraltar all at home. Strachan out.

Yes he has to go the team is aging , slow and unfit , too many 30 somethings still in the squad

The whole team put Scotland out, blaming just the Celtic players confirms your Rangers bias.

Only Forrest and Brown played last night. What about the defence? No Celtic player was in the back four.

It was like watching bloody hibs. I think Strachan will stay, because I can't imagine finding a replacement would've easy at all, it's a poisoned chalice.

We went out in Georgia where we finished the game with 4 players from a poor Celtic team on the park without 1 shot on goal. Far too much loyalty shown by Strachan to duds.

Strachan out, duds out, rip it up and start again. An embarrassing disgrace of a campaign.

We need to look outside Scotland again. People will continue to point at Berti Vogts, but remember he got us closest to qualifying in the last 16 years. It's also the only way to stop the call-ups for duds who know their name will always be on the team sheet.

It needs to be someone strong enough to tell the west coast media to bugger off when he's criticised for not calling up certain players.

Mourinho might be out of a job soon...

Would a new Manager change much?

The bigger problem is the lack of quality players .

Without Google or Wikipedia name me 5 players and their clubs from the Iceland team that qualified in a group that included Holland, Turkey, and the Czech Republic. Iceland has fewer people in it than Edinburgh.

Crap manager that flatters to deceive picking the same duds because their face fits. Pick Fletcher up front long enough and he's bound to score and this time it was meaningless.

Of course Strachan has to go. It's just a matter of who gets the job next. Strachan's always been notorious for picking his favourites and to hell with their form. Mark McGhee, his choice of assistant, beggared belief. A serial dud of a manager with nothing constructive whatsoever to say or contribute as a number two.

Strachan's wee smart arse comments have dried up like his form. Iceland and Northern Ireland can make the finals with a combined population of less than half of ours and that clown is on about deflected goals and marginal offsides.

The media buddies seem to be circling the wagons for Strachan. That gimp Pat Nevin is saying we should 'move heaven and earth' to keep him. I've got a bad, bad feeling we will keep him. We have basically won 2 games in that group against a poor Georgia team and the Irish hoofballers. Gibraltar doesn't count as it is like playing Butlins.

Sack the manager and get someone who picks players based on form in.
