Mid priced or even bargain basement foreigners always look good in other foreign teams I've noticed. Maybe those teams have good scouts or something. It always seems Scottish clubs get f#cked over when buying foreign journeymen. We always end up with the most useless, brainless shower of pish. We've just ended up as a dumping ground for duds.

Oduwa and Zelalem are the two best young prospects playing in Scotland for many a year and we are lucky to get to look at them for a bit before they move on. These skillful players don't exist in Scotland with that amount of talent at that age. They aren't there because some 6ft 2" wrecking ball probably crippled them at 15 with their manager congratulating them on getting stuck in or they aren't picked because Mr Hammer Thrower got the starting place.

Can't have it both ways - although I've not seen either play, is it more important to develop your own players in lets face it a league worse than the Scottish Premiership or develop players from Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle etc... none of whom will make the grade at those clubs.

Celtic are guilty of it as well.

Warburton is bringing in young on loan guys and saying you have to be at this level to get a game for Rangers and if you are below it you won't be playing for us. He's looked at the Rangers youths and said you aren't good enough to make the grade. Barry McKay looks good enough and Walsh and Hardie may be good enough and Jason Holt is 22 and looks like a good little player. Rangers need to bring through more young players from Murray Park.

Celtic have some exciting young Scottish players, in midfield especially. But if they are playing out of position or not playing at all at the expense of manager favourites then they'll never develop. Celtic are selling good players and replacing them with poorer players in key positions and they can't expect to challenge in Europe doing that. It's constant erosion that just grinds you down and lets Europe slip away.

Still scratching my head at Dial-a-bus and his claim of how he was bringing balance to the team by replacing Kris Commons with Nadir Ciftci.

If any of the attacking players deserved to be hooked it was Leigh Griffiths - he was absolutely dire from start to finish.

Incidentally there is a cracking screengrab doing the rounds of Griffiths holding a "RESPECT - show racism the red card" poster during the build-up. Is it genuine or a photoshop jobbie?? Hard to tell due to the shape of his coupon.

When you have one striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation and you want to go 4-4-2, to keep the team balanced you would probably hook the central man in the 3 - hence why Commons was taken off.

It's not that difficult to understand when he explained it, whether it was correct or not is debatable but it didn't lose us the game.
