If they cared that much about the troops would they not want to be financially supporting them?

It is all to do with being seen to support something, not that you really support it.

What would do think the Forces would rather have, a company sticking a poppy on their website for a couple weeks and telling their staff to observe a silence or the extra millions of pounds that could have been raised if they'd paid tax?

No, my examples are perfectly good, you just don't have an adequate response to try and rebuff them.

Where have I said that I am "against the British"? In what way is James McClean "against the British"?
Your examples are not relevant. These IRA loving and British army hating fans are more along the lines of the Islamic fundamentalist supporters and sympathisers who think they are championing 'freedom fighters'. Two cheeks of the same terrorist sympathising arse.

As for McClean, his actions speak for themselves. A repellent human being who is better known for turning his back on anthems and disrespect than for anything he's done on the football field.

you are a fecking mentalist
Can't rebuff my argument so you instead respond with a personal insult.

How mature.

Oh they are extremely relevant, they are examples of a time where a group stood up for themselves to try and stop them being discriminated against. Crofter thinks that they should simply have moved to another country and let the discrimination continue.

Did the English players turn to face the Irish tricolour when they played the friendly in Dublin earlier this year?

Your support are predominantly British and cheering on terrorists who blow up kids in Britain. Trying to equate the civil rights movement and apartheid with cowards who plant bombs and run away to let them blow up and kill pregnant women and kids isn't similar at all. Equality in law for black people was achieved and apartheid was ended, the IRA lost its futile 'war'.

Once again you show a complete lack of understanding in what I'm saying, or maybe that is what you are deliberately trying to do?. What I'm saying has absolutely nothing to do with the Republican movement in the 6 counties.

crofter is of the opinion that if you don't like something in a country then you should leave that country instead instead of trying to change the thing that is wrong. He is therefore of the opinion that instead of fighting for equal rights the black people of America and South Africa should just have packed their things and went elsewhere. It is completely illogical.

In what way is cheering IRA terrorists who were blowing up British kids changing something? What is it you hope to change by disrespecting silences? It is like scumbags Anjem Choudary who whine about the UK and the army yet live here quite comfortably. If your principles are so important then why live and pay taxes to a regime that are using or used them to attack your fundamental principles and causes?

That's what is illogical.

Stop playing dumb Francis.

I am not speaking about the Celtic, or any other support. I'm speaking about crofter's opinion that if you don't like the policy of a country then instead of trying to change that policy you should move to another country. That is illogical.

Do you agree with everything the Westminster or Scottish governments do? If not, according to crofter, you should be packing your bags and moving elsewhere.

Celtic get permission to put up a statue of Billy McNeill at Celtic Park.

Personally I think all of the Lions should have statues at the ground.

A boot in the stones of Sevco supporters who believe Sevco are Rangers at court today.

"Sevco Scotland did not buy the club, it bought the business and assets of the club. Players employed by Sevco using brands owned by Sevco. Manager employed by Sevco, custormers of Sevco buy tickets from Sevco".

Charles Green's lawyer at court today.

Making it quite clear that Sevco are a new club nothing to do with Rangers who died.

Look timbo, as long as your fans keep singing IRA songs and jeering through silences they will be treated with the contempt they deserve. You make the rod for your own back and we don't need to do a thing but sit back and watch you make fools of yourselves.

Its quite laughable Rangers fans taking the high moral ground over Celtic fans behaviour. Look at your own fans conduct over the years. It ain't perfect either.

Awwww, poor Franco.

Unwilling to answer the question put to him so instead he tries to drag the conversation off tangent.

It is a sure sign that you've lost the argument.

Still, just like crofter, I am sure that you are packing your bags and making plans to leave Scotland ASAP.

From Declan to Finbar!

What next? Paddy? Sean? Seamus? What other stereotypical Irish names are you planning on calling me?

I'm out. I'm consciously uncoupling, with the greatest of respect, from this thread or at least this aspect of it. Life's too short to squabble endlessly over the same stuff. I gave it a good go and had a few laughs and seethes along the way.

See ya...

Pity Scotland don't have a game this weekend. International weeks restrict my telly football watching.

But I see the under-21 game v Ukraine is on Alba this evening at 5.35.

Is disrespecting the silence and cheering the IRA supposed to change something? Your own club don't even want those scumbags as fans when they do that, yet you think it is a vehicle for your confused political beliefs and bitter agenda.

If you love the rebels so much and hate the UK army so much then why finance it?
