Rangers legend and goalkeeper Billy Ritchie sadly passes away after short illness aged 79.

Part of that legendary early to mid 60s Rangers team, with Greig, Baxter, Caldow.......

Very sorry to hear of the death of Billy Ritchie. He was a great servant to Rangers.

Good win for the Gers tonight, 3-1 over Morton.

Tierney playing really well again, only 18 yet plays well week in week out. Literally been our best player in probably about 15 of the 25ish games he has played and its not even a joke he really has, not seen a young player come in and play as well consistantly in a long time probably Liam Miller but he was 22 when he came into the team. Deserves to start the game for Scotland.

Should have said about Tierney too, I dont think ive seen a better tackler since Agathe. Perfect timing in the slide tackle and seems to put in 2 or 3 a game.

Most young players you look at and think, they have talent but if they could improve this or that then they will be good players. Tierney already looks good in all aspects and is so consistent that if he just maintains the standard he already plays he will be fine as even in Europe he was probably our best player against Ajax and Fenerbahce.

More Strachan squads which are clueless. No place for Rhodes, McCormack, Wallace, Shinnie, McKay or Holt but pace for Tony Watt, Forrest, the two Fletchers, Mulgrew and McGinn?

Good news of the snub really is no Rangers players to get injured in that impostors abject and pointless friendly games.

The age old failures will all be in the usual places come the start of the campaign.

This some of our squad might be going for about six tournament failures now

No place for Shinnie as he's quoted as saying he knows exactly what him and Reynolds can do so no point in picking them. Does he know if they have the bottle and desire when on the park to play regularly for their country seeing as neither of them have any caps?

The manager of a national team should know exactly what the top 100+ players from that country can do. It's an absurd comment. He's never away from Celtic games so why choose any of their players as surely by the same reckoning he must know exactly what they can do.

I noticed Gordon Greer in the squad again. I'm glad I no longer have any interest in Scotland and little in international football. If I do watch an international match then it tends to be NI as at least I have heard of most of them and their manager has no problem picking and playing guys from the Scottish leagues.

I suspect this World Cup campaign we will be out of contention pretty quickly.

Nothing will change till the selection policy changes

It was a horrendous mistake retaining Strachan

Shinnie not being picked is madness. Rhodes and McCormack as well. I just can't see where the management are coming from.

Just looks like wee Gordie is simnply capping any eligible lower league English born players just in case they turn out to be half-decent and choose Engerland. No way to be running a national team though and you got to feel for the home-based players.

Rumours on the TA board Rhodes and McCormack both said no.

Tierney is better than Shinnie - Rhodes and McCormack are overhyped Championship strikers.

We need to get away from the theory the championship is a quality league it's not, but we are still there looking for complete unknowns from teams like Notts forest

I've seen a bit of the young lad Oliver Burke from Forest and he looked a real prospect.

As long as Strachan is the manager it will be the same duds getting called up or the latest flavour of the month from Celtic/Championship strugglers.

Whoever thought it'll be a good idea to have the League Cup Final clash with Scotland v France should be sacked.
