Could revitalise the whole club, wouldn't be suprised if we have 50,000+ season ticket holders again next season.

For years some of the Ibrox support have called Celtic Park the "Brendanbeu", now it really is.

Not getting carried away with him signing, the board need to back him properly and I'm sure that will have been a main point of discussion in his interview.

CL group stages will be a must.

Ronny's main problem was he wasn't flexible enough to get the best out the players. Rodgers is well known to mix things up a lot and play in various formations, so we should actually see teams set up the right way and playing a style suited to them.

First time I have been genuinely pleased with a new Celtic manager since Martin O'Neill was appointed. Exciting times ahead.

That would be better business than getting Rodgers in.

Think thats a great appointment for Celtic. I don't think he would have accepted the job without the promise of big bucks to spend.

If he.can get them into the CL group stages then I think we may see a big name or two arrive in the last couple of days of the transfer window.

Incredible that Hibs are starting with Fyvie instead of Henderson.

Hibs score with their first attack; Rangers defence nonexistent

Looks a good atmosphere and the early goal sets the game up nicely

As an English neutral, enjoying the atmosphere and the game. Suspect there's not as many corporate 'fans' as will be evident at Wembley. Great stuff - Hibs and their fans are up for this.

Stokes is making Rangers' defence retreat in fear every time he runs at them.

Can't help but think these missed chances will come back to bite Hibs.

Rangers fortunate to be only 1 goal down.Stokes creating mayhem whenever he is on the ball - if his final ball was better, then Rangers would already be out of it.

And to echo what others have posted, atmosphere is fantastic.

Great header Kenny Miller!

Brilliant cross from Tavernier meant he barely had to check his run.

And Stokes hits the post!

This is quite some match already

That's both goal scorers denied a second by the frame of the goal. Fastest 35 minutes I have seen this season, great entertainment.

Poised nicely too be a cracking Final. Two great efforts off the woodwork at either end.
Rangers have finally caught the pace of the game.

Rangers controlling the game now.

Miller really should have scored from that corner, no Hibs player was near him.

Stokes with two great chances!

The Rangers' defence just do not know how to handle him.

Couldn't have asked for more from a first half. Praise to the commentators who do not feel the need to keep up a stream of inane babble.

Well, that half flew by

Neither side can defend to save their lives but what a match that's producing, end-to-end play with chances all over the place.

Think Hibs need the break more than Rangers though, they were starting to wilt at the end of that half.
