Not only do Hibs qualify for Europe, that result means they join Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts in the knockout rounds of the revamped League Cup.
No wonder they invaded the pitch.

Absolutely, Rangers refusing to come out for their losers medals will surely earn them a big fine.

Did they refuse or were they advised not to come out? No Rangers fans left in the stadium so it would have been a bit pointless.

Fully expect the SFA to throw the book at the SFA for the lack of security.

All four teams will not take part in the groups stages in July.
Hibs in Europe will be a brief visit I suspect

I don't find anything wrong with a pitch invasion at the end of the season - happens all the time in England - problem is when the muppets stop celebrating and start looking for trouble.
Well you are both what is wrong about football fans thinking then.

Nothing wrong with a pitch invasion, absolutely?

Of course there is. Watching fans get to miss the correct celebrations of their players to watch idiots clambering on the goal posts and causing criminal damage. The collecting of medals and lifting the trophy is cancelled/put on hold because fans think it's acceptable to behave like mindless idiots.

Why do fans have to be moronic about it? Why run on the pitch knowing its not the end of the event. As fpr goading the opposition fans, which happened, ridiculous, then mindless violence ensues.

Stay off the F'ing pitch, simple!

Hope the book is thrown at all parties.

Iv just seen the match highlights and its really the stuff dreams are made of for the fans after all that time. You just cant buy that euphoria-but then its all destroyed because it will always be linked with the invasion, no lap of honour, Rangers not taking any part in the presentation. Sad end to a brilliant event.

It's small time. Don't get it at any of the the PL games.
How it can be allowed to happen in a cup final is just wrong. One or two ok but that many.......

Must be so many Hibs fans gutted they couldn't celebrate the win with the players doing a lap of honour.

Aberdeen won't be seeded in the 2nd round. Might be next season if they can get to the play off round this time.

I was at work so missed the game.

From what i have read, both teams played well, but Hibs deserved the win, and good luck to them.

However from what i read their fans have done, id honestly be looking at removing the title from them, certainly fining every penny they will make from the title and from Europe, and ban their fans from travelling there.

Disgraceful behavior.

They will be confirmed on Bert kassies website 3rd round if they got that far they wouldn't be

Just back from game. Gutted at result but Hibs deserved it by a country mile.

Scenes at the end were an absolute disgrace though. Hibs are surely going to be in a lot of bother. Lee Wallace was booted to the ground at one point by a couple of fans. Group of Rangers fans were morons as well for taking the bait and coming on themselves.

Saw a Hibs fan(woman) being given a right hook. Couple of people sparked out on the ground. Policing was a disgrace.

Awful end to what was a brilliant match of football, all be it the shitty result

It's almost impossible for AFC to be seeded in the 2nd round. If they qualify for the 3rd round they will take the points of the team they beat as the 3rd round draw is done before the 2nd round is played.

Yes agree - we got what we deserved from that game. Lot's of possession means absolutely nothing if it takes you 2 minutes to get from one end of the pitch to the other. Our best player was Kenny Miller @36 and our next best was Zelalem who amazingly was subbed.

We still cannot defend at corners and teams will simply soak up pressure and hit our slow and suspect defence on the break ... not exactly rocket science how to beat us.

I think a couple of hibs players were involved in the crap at the end - Cummings was one and it might have been McGinn, both running about like the dafties they are.

Sevco played the same as they did against Cetic in the semi, passed the ball about midfield and defence but never looked like scoring a goal or even hitting a shot. If the Hibs keeper was 3 stone lighter which he should be he'd have saved both of Sevco's goals.

Hibs could have scored a few more goals with a lot of chances they had, well deserved winners.

Great scenes at the end too.

Sevco need two new centre halves as well, any time I see them Kiernan and Wilson aka the Chuckle Brothers look honkin, they're like 2 bob lower League version of Gary Caldwell's.

You join a couple of others in the loony fan group on here I see

To clarify you find Hibs supporters invading the pitch, breaking the goal posts, digging up parts of the pitch and assaulting rangers players/staff "Great scenes" ....wow!
