That statement though....

What a fantastic weekend, the celebrations are far from over! Take our European place from us, we still have the memories!

Now I'll be the first to admit that not every Hibs fan that entered the pitch was just celebrating, unfortunately there are moronic elements of support in every club. But I'd say a strong 90/95% of fans invaded the Hampden pitch were just caught up in the sheer euphoria of it all. I was there, I jumped at the winning goal and then I just froze, I was shaking, the sudden realisation that after 114 years we were seconds away. To also win it after Rangers to coin a phrase 'Hibsed it' was very apt! Fans a lot older than me hadn't witnessed this, there was a Hibs fan over 100 years old who hadn't seen it for god sake. This is how euphoric it was, Rangers fans and fans of clubs who demand and expect success every season will really have no idea what it's like to win a trophy and appreciate its worth and its value after so many years without one. We may never win it again in our lifetime. This is another reason why I told my Rangers supporting friends who have mocked me since winning the league that I'd rather win the cup. You can have your lower league trophy because in 50 years I can say 'I was there' in 50 years I'm not going to have fond memories of winning promotion from a lower league. Let's face it if Hibs got promoted realistically we'd aim for top 6 at most. Trophies and medals is what it's all about. Over 100,000 fans were out today lining the streets of Leith. The last time Rangers could say that they destroyed a city. So in short form some, a very very small percentage of Hibs fans were out of order but these allegations and statements coming from Rangers really don't give it much credibility.

I've a feeling this will drag on for months and I bet the SFA are delighted we won't have a fixture next season. Hibs will be punished and whatever that is we will take but Rangers should remember about the smoke bombs, the flares, the billy boys chants! The small minority of moronic support that were in the Rangers end, the small minority of them who invaded the pitch to 'defend their players'.

Scum in every support. They need named and shamed and then banned but get off your high horse please. It's very embarrassing to read.
It shows what a diddy club you are to start hitting players in a pitch invasion because you won a cup Inverness held.

Daily Ranger trying to say all Rangers players were assaulted yet Kenny Millers wife has said he wasn't in any way assaulted.

Lee Wallace claims he has a black eye, where is the evidence of all this?
Probably the picture of that guy Dale hitting Wallace and getting arrested will be decent evidence. Another 'hooligan' Greg Binnie is bleating on social media like a sniveling weasel about how he didnu nuffin. Employers have been contacted and he's basically ruined his life.

Drivel. I was there there day. Kimarnock 'Teddy Bears RSC' bus.

Pitch invasion, the last by us btw, BUT no attacks on anyone Aberdeen, fans or players/staff, no damage to the pitch and stadium.

So your claim of carnage is nothing but a lie. You are outright lying son. I wont even try to be polite.
Maybe had a few sherbets son? Clouded yer memory?
Goalposts and pitch damage.....

'continue with the domination of Scottish football'

"...not a step down....one of the greatest clubs in the world..."

Comparing Celtic with Porto and Benfica, with no chat about being happy with the group stages.

That is how a manager of Celtic should be speaking.

The Scottish media are awful. Some crap questions and why did they ask Brendan about Mourinho and Man Utd? Totally irrelevant!!

Bit of a shame for the Hibs players that they didn't really get to celebrate on the pitch afterwards...

Was there still that safety risk even after the Rangers fans had left and the Hibs support gone back into the stands?

Rodgers definitely looked nervous to start in that press conference. Can see this is a huge job for him.

Celtic Way not big enough to hold the fans so the club opened the main stand, that is now not big enough as the crowd begins to spill around the lower tiers.

Live stream on youtube.

Chris McLaughlin thought he'd catch him out by asking him for a stand out game or earliest memory - Brendan responded with a preseason game from 1984

If he thinks moving to Scotland from the Premiership isn't a step down he's deluded.

That was some incredible scenes from Celtic Park when rodgers came out.

He will have Celtic Park full again no doubt.

Patrick Roberts is gonna flourish under Rodgers. Predicting he will have an amazing season.

It's more anti-Rangers whataboutery guff. Hibs fans attacking players you are saying 'aye but what about Rangers!'
Pointing out that fans of The Rangers were also culpable isn't anti-The Rangers, it is being factual.

I'm sure that you were just as sickened as I was to see a The Rangers fan kick a young Hibs fans who was already on the ground on the head.

Cup final between two teams, neither Celtic. Yet here they are inserted into the argument. Honestly, you lot are more obsessed about Rangers than you are about your own club.
It's fans of The Rangers who are introducing Celtic into this. It is them who are claiming that the Green Brigade were at the game.

Someone is certainly lying, it isn't Jamie though.

This is not a picture of Rangers fans after they have pulled down the goalposts. No Siree Bob!

Is that what you are reduced to, whataboutery 29 years ago? Might as well post your lot throwing bananas at Mark Walters, that was around then.

You having problems keeping up Frankie?

ayshireman1 claimed that he was at Pittodrie in 1987 and that there was no damage done to the ground. He even called Jamie a liar.

Turns out that it was ayshireman1 that was lying about it.

Lets see if he is man enough to apologise to Jamie.

I thought Rodgers spoke well at the press conference, the real work starts now though.

Identify new signing targets and have the team ready for the CL qualifiers.

You must have trouble keeping up if you think 29 years ago is relevant.

Your fellow The Rangers fan ayrshireman1 thought it was relevant otherwise he wouldn't have responded to Jamie about it.

Just a pity that ayrshireman1 chose to lie about what happened.

Just in from the Rodgers unveiling, senstional stuff. Must have been 12/13,000 there main stand holds 8,000 but there must have been nearer 10,000 in it then the two corners were opened and must have had 3/4,000 between them.

HERE WE GO 10 IN A ROW!

How many Inverness fans ran on and started punching Falkirk players? That's the first time they had ever won it and even they didn't resort to that. The Hibs fans on the park were out for trouble and trouble only. Tearing up the park, breaking the goals, goading the opposition and hitting and spitting on players. Absolute scum.

Rodgers sounds genuinely pleased to be Celtic manager. Good that he could have stayed on in England for more money, but chose Celtic because he wants to manage the club. Think he will be a great manager.
