The other night?. You mean the one where I FREELY admitted I didn't see ONE goalpost come down in 1987, BUT that I was right in criticising a poster's claims of 'carnage'. That poster's claims WERE OTT nonsense and I stand by that.
As to my credibility, give me your address and I will send you my Cup Final ticket. Seriously. I gave you a long-winded honest summation of events and places. Your proof is a pic on tinypic. Well, f*ck me, I am convinced. ![]() ![]() The proof isn't a picture hosted on tinypic, have a look at the guys posts and replies. He says what he saw and where he saw it. That is absolutely no different to what you are doing. You seem to have an inability of understanding that just because you didn't see something it doesn't mean that it didn't happen. |

Barton was the best player in the team that won the league and you're thinking some ex-Celtic player who didn't even get promoted means something. About as idiotic as saying Leicester never beat Arsenal so Leicester are shite despite winning the league.
Couldn't beat Brighton home or away, bossed by a player Celtic no longer wanted because we had better players in his position. |

Take a step back, Tim. Take out the fact that the fans/club you dislike most are involved and just think about this alleged story with basic common sense and an ounce of cynicism. Police start to get heavy criticism on Sat night/Sunday for their slow response, and hey presto, a story appears on Monday morning to state that the poor little police couldn't get through because of Rangers fans blocking them. In one fell swoop, the police are suddenly brave men and women stopped from bounding to the stadium like the 7th Cavalry by big horrible fans. And said fans are suddenly the villains of the piece. Job done. Just think about this allegation for a second, it makes no sense. Because its bulls*it peddled by a police desperately covering their own arses and desperate to avoid criticism. As I said earlier, given the police behaviour at the Celtic fans protests re the football law, you of all people should be deeply cynical about the police and what they claim publicly. I think this post from a Rangers forum I inhabit sums it up well from a Gers pov: 'There are so many holes in that it's unreal. I truly hope as Jack says this isn't someone doing the chief inspector's dirty work for him to deflect and blame the huns as they say. Firstly if they were right outside there is an entrance to the north of the north stand they would have got in with little problem. If they were that close as it insinuates they could have left the vehicles and went in on foot. What they seem to be saying is they came from the city centre or from that direction and attempted to go up Cathcart road. There was absolutely no chance of not being impeded by going that way as the large crowds from Hampden at segregated games like that mean you have little choice but to spill onto the road and the traffic inevitably comes to a stand still. It was the same after the last Old firm game and the one the year before and after plenty of Scotland games I have been too. The sensible option would have been to aim for Aitkenhead road as all the Hibs fans were still in the ground and it would be less congested. Second the Rangers fans pointed to watches and said you were too late. I'm curious as to what was inaccurate about this? Does the truth hurt? Third they were ambushed by a mob. That bad was it? I'd be interested in how many injuries there were and how much damage was done to the Police vans? Ambushed is an incredible accusation and it's very surprising no cops left the vehicles to control such an unruly crowd. Fourth It also seems odd that these fans clearly knew there was trouble inside as the pointed to their watches and said the Police were too late. They would therefore have had to have been in the ground at full time when the trouble started so 5 minutes at least needs to be allowed for them to have been outside to point at watches in such and aggressive style. However the Police reports previously claim they arrived 15 minutes after fulltime. The suggestion they were held up for 15 -20 minutes(a very loose timescale anyway) is therefore all over the place. Five this mob mentality of people not unlike the terrorists in Northern Ireland 20 and 30 years ago as they are being compared to. It seems incredible people so high on aggression would leave what to people of that mentality must have been an absolute golden opportunity within the stadium to fight with rival supporters. And they must have been there to do so had they wished as they all knew about the trouble when they pointed to their watches aggressively. Last no one shouted at the local shops and blamed them for the lack of security. They blamed the Police? That doesn't even make sense just appears an attempt to suggest they were the sort to riot. These older men and their kids that is. Did those commenting ever consider these parents might actually be angry the security at what was meant to be a family event put their children in danger? Horrendous article and I truly hope that's some real prick of a cop whose name will be mud from now on and not the general attitude or some sort of unofficial way to get the official excuse out without getting their hands dirty. The facts are a massive amounts of Hibs fans were at fault and a minority of those were violent. The security was inadequate and slow to respond but redeemed itself a little when it did get there. A minority of Rangers fans were at fault the vast majority left the ground and left the trouble.' |

And you seem to fail to grasp that this poster was in those areas after the match and saw nothing of what is claimed. I saw nothing of those alleged incidents, and I had to travel back through said areas. You have twitter claims
To me you're just a guy off the internet just like the guy on twitter. I have no reason to believe you more than anybody else. What is hilarious is that the years the supporters of your 2 clubs have sang about how nobody likes you and you don't care, I think that claim can be safely shown to be false. The claims of the "dehumanisation" of the The Rangers supports is hysterical. |

Your midfield of internationals and multi million pound players was dismantled by a midfield costing £65k that was put together in a few months. Kayal's mob didn't win against Burnley and didn't even get promoted.
21 shots on goal against 7. Barton was bossed by a Celtic reject just as The Rangers were bossed on Saturday by Hibs. |

The claims of the "dehumanisation" of the The Rangers supports is hysterical.[/QUOTE] Dislike is one thing. I can understand that. And accept it. BUT 2012 exposed not that, but pure and unadultered hatred for our club. The hatred for Rangers in this country goes beyond normal dislike, its actually poisonous. At least within the SPL and top part of the Championship. One saving grace of being demoted to Div3 was going to wee clubs and towns where you were welcomed and treated as friends. It was actually refreshing and a nice change. Other team's fans chatted to you and wished you well, and vice versa. When that hatred leads to our players being assaulted and our most vulnerable supporters being attacked, as happened on Saturday, then its shows that hatred is toxic. In this country (and it wouldn't happen in England or any other country), we even have members of the media, from sports journalists to TV presenters, referring to us openly in derogative terms. And treating it all as a big joke. And claiming to be the victims when Rangers, fans or club, call them out on their moronic bigotry. One would hope that Celtic fans might understand such poisonous hatred. |

Rangers hadn't played a competitive game in 3 weeks, when they were playing competitively they dismantled Celtic. Mo Jo thought he was watching Barcelona. The cup means nothing, I've seen us win it many times, the league is all that matters.
The cup means nothing? Yeah right. If Rangers had won, you would have said it was a fantastic achievement. Funny how if Rangers lose a cup final it means nothing, yet when they win its the best thing ever. |

2-2 was hardly a dismantle. You only won on penalties.

If we won the league next year and didn't win the cups for 114 years I wouldn't care. They are nothing. |

![]() ![]() ![]() You would have thought their demise would have brought a bit of humility to them, but no still as deluded, arrogant and spewing hatred in every direction, same as they've done for decades, and they wonder why there is such hatred aimed towards them, simple answer, you reap what you sow. |

The Rangers and Motherwell drawn out in the same group of the Betfred Cup.
I imagine there will be a heavy police presence for that after what happened the last time they met. |

All of the things that have happened since Saturday - the news that the SFA are set to hand out a disrepute charge to Ayr United for using a topless model covered in body paint for their kit launch is utterly shambolic.

No Rangers fan cares what a bunch of diddy teams think, they contribute nothing to Scottish football. I'll cheer on the European teams against them in the qualifiers and give a laugh when they get pumped or hold open top bus parades for the league cup.

Aye, but we won't be losing any sleep over rangers fans not supporting us in Europe, i'm sure a lot of others teams fans will be wishing us well though. But hey there is a bright side for you, at least while we're flying the Saltire in Europe, you should be proud of the fact that you'll have united the rest of Scotland in a common cause, hoping you get gubbed by your opponents in the Betfred cup. ![]() Quote:

That's because winning trophies actually means something to other teams, it's appreciated more, it's an achievement given the disparity in resources (money, facilities etc etc) between rangers/celtic and everybody else. In your case winning anything is just a number to add on, a statistic for gloryhunting neanderthals to wave in folks faces.

Yeah, well if rangers that don't care what others think, they sure spend a lot of time and energy on the internet endlessly whining about the others then.

It's cringeworthy to parade a diddy cup. As for this 'disparity of resources' Leicester just won the most difficult league in the world to win despite a budget dwarfed by several other clubs. No more of these pathetic excuses about finance from hammerthrowing Scottish diddy teams.

Do Rangers fans go on diddy forums endlessly talking about who a diddy signs or a diddy teams manager or players or results?

Well if you don't care about diddys, then you won't be embarrassed or listen to the glorious failure stories so fits your problem?Quote:

So i take it rangers won't be entering any of these diddy cups, must be below them and their fans to take part, huh?Quote:

And everybody has stated what an achievement it was, which backs up exactly what i said. Smaller clubs despite handicap beating bigger clubs in competitions is celebrated as a bigger achievement and means more to their fans.Quote:

Since i'm not making any, i fail to see what excuses have got to do with anything? ![]()
