Massive queues at the ticket office at Celtic Park today.

We could be seeing a return of 50k+ season ticket holders.

Good but more important is getting people to attend.

I've just bought one, first time in a few years.

Good to see fans returning, we probably will sell out i'd imagine as fans have been going wild since Rodgers was announced. They tweeted there will only be 52,000 available because of sponsors, think we used to be able to sell 54,000 so 2,000 must now be in the hands of Dafabet/magners and the likes which seems quite high but was probably fine in the last 5/6 seasons as they were going unsold. Would be crap if they went unused now when they could be sold to fans.

My mate has bought his first since O'Neill was in charge.

Would be interesting to see a breakdown of how many were former season ticket holders returning and how many are for brand new season ticket holders.

The club has a great opportunity to do some rebuilding here and might start getting decent crowds for domestic cup games. That will all increase the transfer pot but not as much as investment now and CL football.

It's some turnaround as well as a lot more fans I think were on the verge of leaving this summer too, had they appointed someone like Lambert then we'd have been lucky to sell 40,000 season tickets.

I was a fan of Ronny and felt sorry for him the way the club didn't support him properly bringing in the likes of Carlton Cole.

After that the club had to go big and Lambert, as great as he was as a player, wasn't a name that would bring the fans who have left over the last 6/7 years back.

The extra season tickets have covered Rodgers wages so here's hoping it all goes well.

Just saw the disgusting sectarian dehumanising attack on Jason Cummings in Ibiza.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery.

Fantastic video evidence of this attack.

Cummings played along. Harmless fun. Unlike your mob sticking a bottle in a 10 year olds face. Given hin up to the police yet?? Nah, didn't think so. I'm out. This thread is just a Celtic thread now run by 2or 3. The mods should give you your own thread so the rest can debate football.

Ah, the bottle in the face that never happened.

A Celtic fan on Cathcart Road an hour before the game would have stood out like a sore thumb yet nobody on the road was able to gave a description of him, there was no CCTV of him, nobody on the bus was able to give a description of him.

It never happened.

If you don't like this thread then head off to Zombie Zombie or Zombie Media where you can post sectarian posts and threaten violence against a new Glasgow amateur team called Glasgow Irish and post how they are 'tarriers'. You won't be missed.

Someone with 1967 in their name going on about the dead club.

Either a wind up or just unfortunate for them.

Have a look at the post from TrebleKing who used to post on here.

That's what we are up against.

We're all vile, bigoted, lying Fenian bastards.

The ironing is delicious.

Still, at least Dalbear got the joke, I never said the attack was vicious though. At least quote me properly.

Got to love Jerryn's lie about only joining up recently when he has been a member on here for over 3 years.

Imaging asking for hauners off another forum, what a riddy.

Celtic pre-season fixtures... Barcelona, Leicester, Inter Milan, Dinamo Zagreb, Sturm Graz

Sevco.... Charleston Battery(WHO?)

Celtic only go to America to play teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter, Roma, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Porto, Benfica, Boca Juniors or MLS etc Sevco cant even play the decent MLS teams as they probably dont know who Sevco are, they have to play wee diddy amateur teams nobodys ever heard of on School Pitches.

Such hope on hibs.net about Lennon. If he crashes and burns the schadenfreude is going to be unbelievable, looking forward to it already.

I don't see him doing well there.

Getting up for the Championship is going to be a tough task with Dundee United, St Mirren and Falkirk being there.

It won't take much for the Hibs support to turn on him.

Premiership U-20 teams and the winners of the Welsh and Northern Irish leagues will be in the Challenge Cup next season.

The SPFL will do anything to help Sevco retain their only trophy.

Rodgers wasn't long in making his mind up about him. Good luck to him in the future.

Should one of the Premiership development sides win the trophy that'll be the end of the Challenge Cup.
