I see another one is close to being wheeled in to the Ibrox Care Home, Niko Kranjcar last seen playing well circa. 2009 back when Clint Hill was only approaching his mid 30s.
He's 31 and played at a higher level than any of your players.

Hopefully all the Scottish teams will do well. We need if as co efficient will be worse next season as based on last 5 years.
They'll all be beaten early on.

Can't be any worse than your Liverpool duds stinking out the Euros last night. What is the point in Jordan Henderson?

At least Joey Barton can tackle, pass and score. Henderson looked like a pub team player and Lallana and Sturridge are both embarrassingly bad.

He does it so good that the only clubs he could find over the last few years was QPR, Burnley and some new club in Glasgow.

One has to ask what has everyone else been missing. All that ability and nobody significant wants him.

As for Sturridge, yeah who wouldn't want Kenny Miller instead.

Enjoy never winning the league again

Played at a lower level than them too, im sure the American League he was in is amateur and given how terrible a lot of the players in the MLS are, you are talking about 20% of the players in the MLS wouldnt even be signed by Queen of the South then its a shocker of a signing.

Have any players ever come back from going to amateur football to being good again? especially players known for being overweight, lazy and unfit when they were actually in a decent standard of football.

He created England's best two chamces but the bandwagon of trendy Henderson haters have a blinkered agenda to follow. Part of his role was to marshal Hamsik (which he did well in) but people with selective vision or limited appreciation of the subtleties of the game don't see that.

Weren't your fans spouting the same crap when you signed Lubo? If you can't spot a player in Kranjčar and realise he's going into a league well below MLS level then you must be blind. Celtic wouldn't win the MLS.

He couldn't drag them to a win against a dreadful Slovakia side who even Wales beat. Why does Lallana get a game and why is he £25 million? Like Joe Cole minus the talent.

He wasnt even in the MLS though he was in the divison below although there is no promotion so basically just a different worse League more like the Highland League in Scotland.

Lubo was still playing International football and playing in a good standard of football.

Kranjcar is player who has alway come across, lazy, big ego and not interested even when he was playing in a decent level of football and internationally. Since then he's got fatter, lazier and went to play in a team and League of guys who probably make the likes of Niall McGinn and Johnny Hayes look like Bale and Ronaldo and taking it easy, getting lazier and more unfit.

Crazy signing, 100% a guy topping up his account before retiring with no interest in trying to get fully fit and continue playing.

Hill and Barton at least you may think old players just wanting to play regular football because their days are numbered and their head is still in it. Kranjcar nobody goes to such awful levels of football, especially a player known for never really putting in a shift and then decides to make a comebck when their career is hanging by a thread.

This is a Ljungberg/Carlton Cole a guy who would maybe retire if you never signed him.

5 whole games at Duisburg is 'a good standard of football'? I'll take Barton and Kranjcar over Carlton Cole and Kazim-Richards. Kranjcar is dropping to one of the lowest top flight leagues you can get in European football. I hardly think he'll be bricking it facing Efe Ambrose and some sheep defender.

Welcome, Niko.

Obviously he's a talented player. We'll see what level of fitness etc he shows.

Read a piece:

Kranjcar is incredibly gifted, probably more technically skilled than either of his Croatia team-mates, Luka Modric or Ivan Rakitic. He has a fantastic shot and great vision; he just isn’t blessed with natural acceleration and pace.
He won't need too much pace up here, certainly not English Premiership speed. Keeping him fit is key, but he's a classy player and you don't get 81 caps and 16 goals for Croatia if you are shite.

"Croatia team mates" haha he's not played for Croatia for 3 year and the last time he did Scotland beat them 2-0.... O_O his 3rd last cap was also a defeat to Scotland.

He will need pace too, Scottish football is very quick look at players like Jarosik, Mendes, Donati, Crosas, Eremenko all guys with more quality than others but never really made any impact in Scotland, Eremenko did since he played for Kilmarnock but he'd never have got a game for Celtic. Most of them were a lot fitter and quicker than Kranjcar too.

If 36 year old Kenny Miller can dismantle you then I think Kranjcar will be ok. Rangers keep possession, they don't hoof and hope and run like Celtic and the rest.

Amazing the Tic fans here slagging off us singing Niko.

No, he isn't a run through fire player, but the man is class. Had Celtic signed him, I would be impressed.

As to age, who are you to criticise when you have w*nked yourselves silly over the likes of Roy 'Two Knees Done' Keane, Graveson, Cole, Kazim Richards, Robbie Keane (here to win you the league remember?), Freddie Ljundberg. All a complete waste. If Niko is old, then what the hell was Roy Keane?.

Its more to do with the fact he's a lazy player who hasn't bothered to perform since 2009. On his day he's a good player, but how msny games will he bother to turn up?

Also Roy Keane was a great player so you can't compare.

We have signed some duds but didn't pay them high wages.

Good Tierney is signed up for 5 years, I thought we only gave him the same last summer but deserves an improved wage for sure, best player in Scotland by a distance for me.

Keane was man of the match against Rangets at Ibrox that season. He was decent enough for Celtic.
