More nonsense Frankie.

How's Barton doing? .
Recovering from the rejection of not being wanted in England apparently.

Tottenham had agreed terms and he passed a medical in January, had it not been for Tottenham being unwilling to loan him back he'd be a spurs player right now.
Players on the verge of going to Spurs don't just decide to go to play at Celtic in one of the worst leagues in Europe for a quarter of the cash.

Moussa Dembele to Celtic

That's a terrific buy and shows Rodgers is getting backed by the board.
As a Rangers fan, I agree. Impressed Celtic got him.

So he rejected champions league football at a team with a realistic chance of winning the Premier League next season to sign for a team in a vastly inferior league for less money and playing for a manager given the bullet at Liverpool for being a dud? I've got a bridge to sell you if you believe that.

Even down there where Crystal Palace are bidding £31 million for players nobody wanted him.

For an alleged Rangers fan, you really do knock our league up here.

If you hate the SPL that much, support an EPL team.

Frankie Bhoy, Sevco would have gave up all the numpties you've signed to have added 2 players like Ajer and Dembele this summer.

Just a shame yous canny compete for quality and are in the market for duds, hasbeens and neverhavebeens instead, thats the price of being a wee diddy outfit.

Remember this is only the beginning, we'll be adding 2-4 more quality players as well
Kranjcar, Barton and Rossiter are quality and then some. Hill will be a solid CH. To suggest what we have brought in/will bring in are numpties and hasbeens is just embarrassing. Proper fans know and admit quality. The likes of Niko and Barton/Rossiter will add quality to the SPL. Just as Demeble and Ajer will.

I am happy as a Rangers fan to be complimentary at some Celtic signings. Perhaps you may wish to try it.

Lets be honest, its not a great league. Pretty average/poor. Our champs get humped easily in Europe. Our 2nd/3rd best are lucky if they survive a round in Europe.

Hopefully the manager/player moves at Ibrox and Parkhead will improve it. Along with Aberdeen and Hearts.

3 Premier League clubs were after Dumbele.

It's impressive that Celtic can attract a player from England who could play in the Premier League.
Yes, it is. I also think its impressive Rangers can get the likes of Kranjcar, Barton and Rossiter.

I think the SPFL will be good to watch next season. Hopefully it will be a 3 or 4 team challenge. Celtic will be favourites but I expect us to be challenged.

Sure, compared to the EPL, the Scottish league looks poor in comparison, but there is still plenty of things about our game which we should be positive about.

The more quality players we can get in Scotland, the better for our game..

We had our fingers burnt signing Ljungberg, I think the same will happen to you's with Kranjcar, players struggling in the lower leagues of the NASL aren't going to take the SPFL by storm.

Rossiter was highly rated 5 years ago when he was 14/15, he looks like he developed into a Jamie Hamill, Morgaro Gomis or Willo Flood instead happens all the time see Feruz or Fleck.

We're talking about guys quality just now in Ajer(playing first team football from age 15, Dembele about 70 games for Fulham at 19 and Roberts, tearing scottish football apart at 18 looking even better than Maloney or McGeady did at any point in their careers here.
Haha remember when they claimed Fleck was the next superstar. Funny times.

Simon Donnelly, the next Dalglish. And wasn't Feruz supposed to be a world star bursting out of Paradise. And the ridiculous comparisons of Roberts to Messi.

Both sides of the OF have had their overhyped young players.

TBF, he DID look outstanding at 16-17. I watched him, he really did look as if he could be as good as Durrant or McStay at that age. The Rooney comparisons were a bit premature, but he did look as if he could be our Scottish version.

Usual story, thought he had made it, didn't grow as a player. Still, seemingly a fine player for Coventry these days.

There isn't enough bandwidth to list all the Celtic duds. For a 'Liverpool' fan you just signed another Southampton flavour of the month for £30 million. Enjoy never winning the league.

You didn't win a game in the Europa league group, went out the champions league qualifying twice in one season and your players and ex-players and ex-manager were key in not qualifying for the Euros. So yes, knocking our league seems pretty fair.

Again more nonsense. Bet you didn't say this when Celtic reached the last 16 a few years ago or when we got to the last 32 of the Europa League. How did Rangers do last time they played in Europe? That's right, they lost to Malmo.

Why do you support Rangers if you hate Scottish Football so much?

Like I said, support an EPL team if you hate the Scottsh League..

Speaking of young players, Tierney will be the best player to come out of Scotland in a long time I think, he's just so good already and already playing with great consistency that I would say he is the best player in the country already.

You rarely ever see young defenders who are such good defenders from the start of their careers and every 10 games he played he was getting better and better going forward where he looked like setting up goals near enough ever game from January onwards. Had he started the season in the team last year rather than only emerging in October/November he would have won Player of the Year for sure as he outperformed every Celtic player by a distance for a good 30 games once he got into the team.

You usually see holes in just about every players games too but Tierney seems to be able to do everything from the off, cross, skill, beat players, pace, tackling, gets up and down the pitch, consistency, solid, intelligent both defensively and offensively.

If everything goes well he should be the first £10million+ scottish player unless Robertson beats him to it but I think he's better than him.

Tierney will go to England eventually. Not for a few years hopefully.

He still has a lot to learn. Staying at Celtic will help his development.

The state of Scottish football is abysmal, but it is my abysmal. I won't be pretending its great when the wealth of evidence and my own eyes quite clearly says it isn't. Do a poll on this forum to rate the SPFL if you like and see what responses you get.

Getting in overpriced 'starlets' from the EPL on loan or other never have beens doesn't mean it is suddenly great. Its glory days are long behind it. It is what it is but don't pretend about the lack of quality. Little boys don't want to grow up and play for just Celtic or Rangers anymore, they want the Premiership down south.

He's being overrated in a very ordinary Celtic team. Didn't look anything special against our reserves when we had a 36 year old leading him a merry dance. He got subbed for Mulgrew at international level as he was too small. Right now Andy Robertson is a better prospect long term and plays at higher level. Lee Wallace should be first choice of course.

Robertson is going to be up against the words best players, Tierney is going to be in a defence that hardly has to make a tackle most games and up against Ross County and Partick Thistle players. Robertson is challenging himself, Tierney is taking the easy option.

I don't think he is, he is genuinley that good. He was excellent for Celtic against Ajax and Fenerbahce in Europe which were probably among his first 10 games in his career since then he's got better and better.

He looks really top class in every department and was dominating games only a few months after making his debut. Really havent seen anything like it from a young player who's come through at Celtic. At 18 he was putting in captain's performances on a weekly basis and looked like a 30 year old in his prime. Im not even exaggerating, he just looks that good.

In his career for us so far too he's only made 1 mistake in all performances combined which was against Motherwell where he then went on to set up both our goals and again put in a MOTM display. I remember thinking when he got caught out for that goal that he'd been superb for months and now this is his first mistake how will he respond and he set a goal up about 5 minutes later then ran riot the rest of the game. The vast majority of players heads would go down after their first mistake but he was the total opposite he went on to boss the game as if it had never happened that his mentality and probably why he's been so consistent.

Other Celtic players like Brown, Mulgrew, Izaguirre, Johansen who have won POTY before have all had good seasons but I would say none of them ever played as well as Tierney did and that was his first season. Bitton too had a very good season in 2014/15 even Rogic and Roberts were very good last season but nobody really comes close for me to how Tierney played last season it was Denayer or Van Dijk levels of bossing games and looking a class above anyone.
