The handball decisions were ludicrous, especially the goalkeeper one

And to think he's one of the bests in the country

That's what I fear might scupper us in the league, 'honest mistakes' from abysmal referees.

Pretty easy win for Rangers yesterday beating Motherwell 2-0. Looked a bit rusty for 25 minutes and then dominated the entire game. Special mention to the inept referee for the worst decision you'll see this season with the handball from the keeper and the other handball in the box that was a penalty.
We badly need another CH to partner Hill. The two current are simply not good enough and lack pace and awareness. A younger CH like Mariappa will be fine.

And we are far too over-elaborate at times, esp in the last third.

In an ideal world I'd scrap the two centre backs, put Hodson at right back and move Tav up to right wing. We will need Hill + a quick centre back and a strong defensive midfield as we are too gung-ho sometimes and we do make 5 passes when a shot is on.

Didn't see the game last night but gather it was a bit of a cakewalk. Joe Dodoo signs a 4 year deal, not seen much of him but quite a coup for Rangers and Celtic managing to lure these talented youngsters over the border. Makes a change from it happening the other way.

2 going on 10 mate. 31.5k there. Kranjcar was class, Barton vg when he came on, Hodson at RB was superb, the defence with Hill looked solid, Kiernan and Hill didn't put a foot wrong. Haliiday and McKay excellent. Not one even average performance last night. Played some lovely stuff.

Are Annan not just about the worst team in Scotland though, yous are acting as if you were playing a decent team. Dundee Utd beat Cowdenbeath who I think are a fellow Championship team? 6-1

Cowdenbeath are in the same league as Annan, League Two. Both of them would gub the Red Imps.

Disaster for Celtic there, Astana scored a last minute goal to go through, they were in the Champions League last season and drew 4 of their 6 games. Kazakh teams have been doing well in Europe for a while. The game next week there will be in stifiling heat and its about a 7 and a half hour flight away.

Yeah, 33 degrees forecasted

They are very strong at home too won 10 of their last 11 home games drawing the other. In Europe too;

Astana 3-1 Maribor
Astana 4-3 HJK Helsinki
Astana 1-0 APOEL Nicosia
Astana 2-2 Galatasaray
Astana 0-0 Atletico Madrid
Astana 2-2 Benfica
Astana 2-1 Zalgiris

Unbeaten at home scoring quite a few goals those teams they played in the Qualifiers too are all decent teams who usuall make it into Group Stage football and they knocked the 3 of them out in a row.

Good to hear. I read Niko was doing well in midfield, hope we get that defence sorted against better teams.

What a shocking decision that was. A clear penalty awarded by the ref and the linesman changes his mind to award a free kick.

Paddy Roberts - Silky.

First half was very good, we played with a fast tempo and were swarming all over them and could have had 6 goals. 2nd half we never really clicked into gear and played a lot slower.

Paddy Messi was untouchable, his goal was sensational and the amount of times he roasted their players they'll be having nightmares about him the rest of their lives.

Griffiths and McGregor could have had a couple each. Was good to turn it round that easily but the Astana games will be much tougher.

Did I say we beat Barca?, All I said was we played some lovely football, as I am sure you did vs the Imps. The quality or lack of from the opposition is irrelevant.

Your obsession with always trying to niggle away negatively at Rangers is quite sad. Yous?. Try speaking English please.

Some of our play vs Annan would have shredded any decent Champ/SPL team on the night, if you want to know. Had it not been for their excellent young keeper and some slack finishing, it easily would have been 5 or 6-0.

FFS, Celtic fans don't actually call him that, do they?. Celtic fans don't seriously compare Roberts with Messi do they?. Yes, he is a talented young player, but the Messi comparisons are just silly and not actually helpful to him.

Frankie compares Rangers with Barca. I can see why, both Messi and Rangers have been caught not paying their taxes.

Roberts has genuine star quality. The difference between him and Forrest for example is night and day. The way Roberts manipulates the ball with his feet is class.

He has that Messi-type quality where he goes by players without even looking likes his running full pelt.

This kid looks the real deal and just enjoy him while you can as I think he has all the potential be a genuine star at Man City.

Messi isn't usually running past a postman and a copper. He'll never make it at City.

I'd get rid of Forrest as I don't rate him.
