So Martin O'Neill stands in the way of Gordon Strachan - I think it'll be between Ireland and Scotland for 2nd and 3rd place - which is enough for the playoffs.
You are writing off Poland I take it

Yes, I think Scotland and Ireland can't take 4 points off them each.

I am not sure their "away" support in these games and in Germany will be huge

Happy with the draw, tough for sure but it's not the worst draw, definitely a group we can qualify from

I cant see the Scotland group being the best third placer qualifying so hopefully a play off at worst.

Still dont think we have enough quality players to trouble the likes of Ireland and Poland when it matters

I still feel fourth is most likely where we finish sadly

Sadly I'd agree with Dundeeboy. 4th pot is a fair representation of Scotland at the moment and I don't see any budding worldbeaters coming through before the qualifiers.

Not the worst draw though it's not easy. ROI aren't what they were, we could take points from Georgia and Poland. Strachan has made a good start. Now it's up to him and the team once the real business starts.

I agree with that.

What do you reckon to Morton's fate after the defeat to Alloa on Saturday, do you think it is back down to the seaside leagues?

If you go by the latest Fifa rankings we should be a certainty.

SCOTLAND 34TH
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND 67TH
POLAND 70TH
GEORGIA 103RD
GIBRALTAR UNRANKED.

Aberdeen proves to be Celtic's bogey team as they end Celtic's 29 game unbeaten run in the league.

Yeah that's us down, doesn't seem to be an urgency in the way the players play, the manager has them trying to play a passing game from defence forgetting we are in a relegation battle and not Barcelona.

Think they should now let the youngsters get a few games so they have a bit of experiance for next season

Before the sending off Aberdeen were by far the better side last night. What a strike by Hayes as well.

Second half you dug in because you didn't really have to do anything else.

I was sure you'd beat Alloa, as I seen them v Dumbarton a few weeks ago and they looked very poor. Oh well, all the best Caltonfan.

It was a beauty.

Yeah, but we dug in too deep for my liking, handed the midfield to Celtic, even with 10 men Celtic have a lot of good players and it's a dangerous way to play against them. Although having said that, Langfield really didn't have to do much apart from picking the ball out of the net for your goal. Personally thought we should have really pressed at the start of the 2nd half and tried to finish the game off.

Thought it was a good atmosphere last night, better than it has been for a while at home.

Christ on a bike...What are they thinking when they design these things.

Blue and white are great, and dont date much.

Better that this monstrosity.

It reminds me of when i was a kid and the away shirt from the 1990 World Cup. I like it on that basis alone.

Might be the same lot that design Celtic's away strips over the last few years. They have had some truly abominable efforts.
