Not a vintage performance but happy with a victory to start the league.
Premiership referees have been card happy this weekend. 30 bookings in total. |

Brown played well today. Toure was superb.
McGregor and Armstrong just ain't cutting it. Need a Centre midfield player badly. Some good tactical changes from Rodgers again. |

Well Sportscene is still as poor as ever.
I wouldn't mind the 50/50 mix if the pundits were decent but they are honking. |

Obviously Rangers have to get their act together, but I saw nothing from Celtic today that scared me.

They were saying on Celtic TV about how windy it was in Edinburgh today but windy enough to feel contact that TV evidence proved didn't happen? I'm sure that Walker will be infront of the compliance officer for that. |

In standard definition as well. No HD.
![]() ![]() Seriously though, whilst EPL games are getting broadcast in UHD our highlights aren't even being shown in HD, it's terrible. |

When Celtic are fielding Gordon Lustig Toure Sviatchenko Tierney Brown Bitton Roberts Sinclair Dembele Griffiths In a month or so, teams will struggle to avoid a pumping I think. |

Well HD is such a new standard I'm not surprised at that.

Suppose the Olympics being on BBC 1 HD meant Sportscene had to be on BBC 2. There's no BBC 2 Scotland HD channel.

Rodgers is making sure Celtic have legs and plenty of pace so transitions from defence to attack can be done rapidly. |

You should be very worried about the lack of pace in your side. I give Kranjkar 6 weeks and then he wont be playing as his lack of mobility will cause to many problems.
Rodgers is making sure Celtic have legs and plenty of pace so transitions from defence to attack can be done rapidly. Come this time next year their current group will have likely finished 2nd-4th in the League not really near Celtic and will probably have been knocked out of Europe by some team from Slovakia or Lithuania and only then will they be fully aware of how average their team is. Like when they expected to romp the Championship with John Daly, Boyd, Kenny Miller, McCulloch and guys like that against Hearts and Hibs but ended up 3rd and were slaughtered by Motherwell 6-1? was it over two legs. I fully expect the same to happen this season again, where guys who they think are decent will be found out to be much worse than they expected them to be as their current opinions of said players have no substance because they have yet to be tested. |

Also the lack of quality. Their best players are probably Tavernier, Wallace, Waghorn and McKay who are probably worse than Whittaker, Papac, Naismith and Novo who themselves were nothing great. They've just not proven it yet as they've never played in the SPL or Europe.

Wasn't King supposed to be the saviour? Funnily enough I saw a quote from him today which said “I don’t think we necessarily need that retail revenue to compete with Celtic. A lot depends on how Celtic spend the money. In some ways, Celtic’s position might be more awkward than ours in the sense that they have got a large expenditure and they are going to have to figure how to recycle that. What that means I have no idea. Sounds like he was trying to be clever in saying we cant compete. |

As for those Betfred intro/outros from breaks. ![]() ![]() Quote:
I doubt it, they treat Scottish football like shite. English football gets all the fancy touchscreen build up and analysis as does Cricket, Rugby, Golf even GAA. But Scottish coverage gets two numpties on a couch spouting complete pish, Tanner and McCann. Then we are treated to Andy Walker in commentary, enough said. 99.99% of Scottish football viewers want these guys sacked and or dead anything to avoid having to see or listen to them.
BT are far better but Michael Stewart is really beginning to grate on me now. He just tries to be controversial for the sake of sake. Cowdenbeath v Celtic Colts live on Premier Sport in the Irn Bru Cup next Tuesday. |

Very young but this kid looks quite the player:
Karamoko Dembele Celtic FC - Academy Cup Player of Tournament https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaakCddDHm4 Another video of him from a tournament in England last week where he apparently picked up player of the tournament again. The police are investigating the Hearts fan who appeared to be try and punch Sinclair after his goal yesterday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P_NDmshSO0 |

Only so far free transfers can go?

Add that to the bread maker moaning about struggling to find value suggests their war chest in running low. |

He'll be a big miss for Aberdeen. |
