Rumour has Joe Garner of Preston signing for us today.

97 goals in 297 games. So good (1 in 3) scoring record. Does have a temper though. 12 yellows and one red last season.

5'10, good in the air and physically strong.
Rumour number 5,483 this summer. We'll see what happens.

22 goals in 131 games in the English Championship between the ages of 21 and 28

Dembele we signed scored 15 in 54 games aged 18/19.

Prolific

Listening to Clyde phone in the last few days it's been quite funny. Hearing The rangers fans talk about budgets not meaning much and it's all about finding the right player is very ironic when you look at what happened to the old club.

Trying to convince themselves you can build a good team on hasbeens, neverhavebeens and cheap nobodies from the lower Leagues of England. Garner, Halliday, Dodoo, Kiernan, Forrester, Windass, Foderingham, Hill, Crooks, Hodson, Kranjcar, Gilks and guys like that wouldnt look out of place at Partick Thistle, Ross County, Motherwell and Kilmarnock.

No quality about them at all.

I gotta say off the back of the season tickets sales - I have been very disappointed with our market moves, plus of course we still have that gaping hole known as our central defence to plug.

I don't doubt we have signed a few gems but we have also signed a few potential wage thieves as the season goes on ...

Defensive midfield wasn't a position that needed strengthened imho but we seem to have signed not one but two very good sitting midfielders and added to what we have it is in danger of just becoming a mess in the middle of the park.

Are the The Rangers support going through with the away match boycott that all their fan groups wanted or has that just turned out to be an empty threat?

It's all about Rangers as usual.

Looks a tough game for us away to Dundee. We'll see how it goes, just as we'll see how the new signings do as the season goes on....

Who was the fan group chief who told them to boycott the game but then went himself?

Ever so predictable. Forrester escapes a red card due to what will he called 'a honest mistake'

Craig Thompshun with a typical display

2 games in two big "honest mistakes" dodgy penalty against Celtic and Sevco getting away with 2 red cards.

And O'Dea (whose behaviour was pathetic) should have walked. Deliberately caught Barton not long after his yellow. I would accept Harry might have walked, but if so, BOTH sides should have been down to 10 men.

Game? We coasted for 45 mins, then were slack at the back again. Poorer second half as well. We need to kill games off.

We'll see. I would try and debate the merits of each player with you, as I could with more intelligent bhoys like timboy and Celt1987, but you are so biased, there is no point.

Rangers now have a slight lead over Celtic due to us playing in a friendly today. Will be interesting how both sides do up till the first derby game in September.

Wasn't that happy about playing today in a friendly, given Rangers a chance of a lead ahead.

I wouldn't worry. Celtic will stroll the title.

With the domestic TV deal we have we need the cash. The 3 ICC games will be worth about the same as what we'll get from the SPFL tv deal.

You will win it, but you will not stroll it.

First one (yellow), imo a foul, not a card.
Second, foul not a card.
Third, reckless (even if he did get the ball), and a yellow.

The hype on BT about his fouls were ridiculous. Made even more so when Prick Sutton tried to argue the bad foul on Barton 2nd half which got the Dundee lad a yellow was 'nothing'. It was a clear and bad stamp on Barton, yellow all day.

Where were BT when Kranjcar nearly got his ankle broken by a two footed tackle from behind vs Annan, a shocking tackle. Or the bad foul by the Peterhead lad on Barton on Tuesday?. Two fouls MUCH worse than anything Forrester did today. The Tuesday tackle was bad, the one on Kranjcar was horrendous.

10 points minimum. The speed and movement Celtic will be playing with will be too much for the rest.

I think it is a bit early to be making predictions when the transfer window is open for another 18 days.
