Garner deal to Rangers allegedly almost done, reports range from 900000 to Im to 1.8m. Latter figure probably with add ons etc.
Phillipe Senderos training with us, 31 yrs old, bags of experience. Rangers also allegedly very interested in another CH: Jack Hobbs, 27 yr old from Notts Forest, 6'3, knows McParland from his days at Liverpool. |

Phillipe Senderos. Wasnt he last seen at villa park and failed to get into there squad last season. Quote:
"For me I need to have, and how we work, a goalkeeper that means when we have possession we have 11 players — that he can distribute the ball and pass it."
That quote from the manager tells me Gordon is done and Dorus de Vries is going to be #1. His interview to me sounds like a guy who knows he will he first choice. I've not seen much of him but read he was Forest player of the year last season. Expect him to be very good with the ball at his feet so distribution should be tons better than Gordon's. |

In the interview he sounded like he had a bit of an Irish twang in his voice.

Dumbarton beat United 1-0 at home the last season United were in the 1st division. They'll be hoping history doesnt repeat itself as their next 29 results were 2 draws and 27 defeats.
![]() ![]() I've seen my team lose to Stranraer, Brechin, Elgin City etc but we've never lost to a side from Luxembourg or Malta or Gibraltar

Back to the glamour of the cup with the second round of the Irn Bru Cup starting tonight and Cowdenbeath v Celtic Colts live on Premier Sports. 3 'derby' matches in there as well.
4 of the Colts sides have got League 1 opposition with the bookies making a couple of the League 1 sides favourites. I feel a bit sorry for Forfar, Aberdeen are playing their home tie at Pitmedden and Forfar will drive by Pittodrie to go another 15 miles to get there. The nerves are already going for tomorrow night. Absolutely massive game for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers. Qualify for the CL and we will be in the position to bring a few more players in, |

Qualify for the CL and we will be in the position to bring a few more players in, Its annoying that Roberts is missing, he would have been our most important player in these games, especially at home. This team wouldnt have come up against anyone near as good as him in recent years and he would probably have ripped them apart and unsettled them a lot which would have made them double or triple up on him and freed up Sinclair more on the other side. Just need to do it without him though. The difference between going through or going into the Europa League is something like £18million+ less. We will only get something like £8million from the Europa League but £25-27million in the Champions League. We would now get £20million guaranteed just for qualifying for the Champions League Group Stage before we sell any tickets or merchandise or pies and bovrils or pick up any points. For the Europa League you only are guarenteed about £6million. |

Massive game, I wonder if he will go for it and play 3-5-2 with Forrest and Sinclair out wide or go more defensive and use Tierney in a wide position or play a different formation.

Try and get this done after the first leg. Any win is an advantage but a 2 goal advantage should be enough. |

The feeling around the club since Rodgers took over is completely different, it has been incredible since the 13000 fans turned up at the stadium for his unveiling. |

Celtic U20s beating Cowdenbeath 2-1. 16 year old Aitchison and 17 year old Crossan with the goals.
Shows how much money Sevco squandered paying Cribari, Mohsni, Black, McCulloch, Law, Templeton, Shiels, Sandaza, Kyle, Daly to beat(and even draw and lose) to teams like Annan and Cowdenbeath when 16-18 year old Celtic players can outclass them easily and beat them in their first ever games against men. |

That red card and the reversal of the substitution was a bit mental.
