We have the key in the £20m warchest, hope we don't let up and stroll the 2nd half.

Fantastic performance from Celtic. Great first half!

Celtic getting Rodgers was the best thing they could ever do. This team looks miles ahead over last season.

2 goals in about 2 minutes and it's 3-2

5-2 F/T. Conceded 2 silly goals though.

For 2 minutes Ronny's Celtic returned, fortunately the other 88 mins was Rodgers Celtic - 5-2, can't see them winning 3-0 at home.

Celtic will score in Israel no doubt. They are the better side and too much of a goal threat.

5-2 is more than enough going into the 2nd leg.

Rodgers again with some great tactical decisions. The opposition try and sit in and he goes 4-2-4. Last season this side would of crumbled at 3-2.

The team is very fit and keep scoring late goals. 5-2 is enough and someone should ask Dave King what Celtic should do with all that money. Would rather be skint.

Patrick Roberts will rip this side to shreds.

Gordon defiently has to go. Another European game where he concedes a goal he shouldn't.

What a roller coaster ride of a game that was.

At half time it looked like we could score at will, 10 minutes into the second half it was a "ah hell, here we go again" and then the team screwed the head and got the 3 goal lead back.

Broony was absolutely superb tonight,

It is still going to be a bit nervy over there, especially if we concede an early goal, but we have a fantastic opportunity to get to the group stages.

Brown is proving me wrong every week. Thought he was finished but his really playing well.

"Contributed greatly", what a load of rubbish that is. Losing to Malmo and Maribor contributed more than that game as did the general displays.

I do hope you aren't one of these The Rangers fans who only think that Celtic have sold over 50k season tickets because you are in the league? The turnout for Rodgers unveiling should tell a reasonable fan the reality on that one.

That's what happens when you are free of injury.

No its more than that. His passing is way better than I've seen in the past. Doesnt give it away anyway near as much. Makes way better decisions with and without the ball.

With only 1 Colts team and 1 non-league side left in the Irn Bru Cup is it safe to say that this is an experiment that hasn't worked?

Don't you think we should give it a bit longer than one go?

Of course we could but I just see it as a gimmick that hasn't worked. I don't think bringing in the Colts, non-league and foreign sides has added anything to it.

The fans don't want it and aren't showing up. There were 114 at the Albion Rovers v Hamilton game on Tuesday night.

I'd scrap it. The top 4 clubs have enough players to loan numerous youngsters out for a season or two where they will get competitive games.

Others like Motherwell, Partick etc can blood a few in the league cup groups to see how they get on.

Having non-league sides in it isn't too bad. It evens up the numbers for a straight all-in knockout from round 1. But the "colt" and foreign sides just make a mockery of the competition.

What's wrong with a simple 32-team, 5-round knockout competition?

You think Celtic sold all those season tickets because Brenda was now managing Efe Ambrose? Do you even believe what you say anymore?

Losing 2 away goals to a side nobody has ever heard of? Brilliant tactician, surprised Liverpool gave him the bullet.

Lol only you could somehow turn a 5-2 win into a criticism of the manager. At 3-2 you must of been so happy but Brendan turned it around.

Rodgers was brought in to get Celtic into the CL. Looks like mission accomplished.

That club nobody has ever heard of have a longer history than The Rangers.

Have you ever watched Celtic away from home? They lost 1-0 to a team full of taxi drivers. If the Israeli side go 1-0 up early it is squeaky bum time.

As for 'The Rangers' that is their name. If you had ever been to a game, any game, you'd probably know that.

Like they went 1-0 down v Astana and crumbled. Oh wait.

The Israeli side will get picked off on the break but still I can't really blame you for clinging on to the last hope.

The woeful record of Brenda in Europe will just mean more hilarity if they do qualify. Hopefully they pick up a good few injuries and fines and sound beatings along the way to make it easier for Rangers to win the league.
