I know nothing about him to be honest but he's 28 and has lingered about small teams like Preston so I imagine he is an average at best player. He has also had poor spells in League 1, in 2010/11 he scored 0 goals in 16 games for Huddersfield and in 2012/13 he scored 7 goals in 30 games for Carlisle/Preston.

Either way theres no way he could get near lacing the boots of Griffiths, Dembele, Roberts, Sinclair and Rogic.

If Celtic had signed a player like Garner we'd be in meltdown. Ciftci, Scepovic, Pukki and the likes will be superior players.

According to wiki he has 69 goals in 167 games in League 1 and 22 goals in 113 in the Championship.

I think a stand closure will be part of Celtic's punishment, but probably suspended. Which would be interesting given the Green Brigade's past reaction to UEFA punishments.

69 in 167 in League 1 is really poor, a goal every 2.5 games or something. Tony Watt will likely be better than Garner.

Ched Evans fresh out the jail has scored for fun in that League.

I don't think we'll see another banner like the one in Udine. They have admitted they shouldn't have done that.

They'll continue to fly the Palestine flag though.

It wasn't even the Green Brigade who made that banner it was "normal" fans. There isnt actually that many Green Brigade members, most of the fans who sit in their sections just sit there but are not in the Green Brigade.

They have been blamed for stuff that wasn't them numerous times which is why they stopped selling merchandise with the Green Brigade name or logos on it and now only sell Ultras Celtic merchandise.

It was them, members of the group confirmed it on the HB

They get blamed for lots of stuff that has nothing to do with them, there are folk out there who think that they are casuals. They kicked out the SMV to stop any potential issues.

The Villa owner and manager say that The Rangers weren't willing to pay Lescott what he wanted.

The third version of the story.

Oh, I thought they said at the time it wasn't their members who had it.

Yeah the SMV look like wee fannies. I have seen them a couple of times and they look mostly like young Secondary School aged guys, they dont cause any bother but they do walk about as if they are in a Football Hooligan film. In a couple of years when they are hitting 20/21 they'll probably wisen up.

The Green Brigade if they are clever, which they are should make a Mandela display with a quote from him about Palestine for our next home European game, likely Champions League as it stands.

See what they do then. When they fined us for Political banners before THE VERY NEXT GAME they had all teams taking to the pitch with Nelson Mandela banners in a remembrance to him.

So it will be interesting to see how they react to another display of Mandela and his thoughts on Palestine. Would they have the brass neck to fine us again despite FORCING US to have Mandela banners only a year ago? they probably would but it would point out their hypocracy perfectly.

They make the rules up as they go along. Political displays are okay as long as it is political displays that they agree with.

But it is their ball and everyone knew that we could face sanctions for the display the other night.

Celtic should have the bottle to take them all the way and have them tell us whats different between Palestine flags and flags of every other country on the planet which will never get you fined.

The next European country to be terrorist attacked, we could full our stadium with the flags of that country wether its Estonia or Turkey and they'd never do anything.

Palestine has been ongoing terrorist attacked from Israel for decades but that's too political.

The club won't do anything, we'll take the punishment and get on with it.

As for the second paragraph, lets hope that never happens.

Yeah, same as they did the last time but they need to get a grip of themselves.

Palestine is a country like any else, they are members of FIFA. How can their national flag be an "illicit banner".

UEFA opening a can of worms with deeming a Fifa nation flag 'illicit' - think this one might go no further.

FIFA website full of illicit banners:

Same story yet different versions either side of the border.

Football journalism in Scotland is a parody of itself.

I hope UEFA get tough on these scumbags and shut a stand down or 3 home games behind closed doors in Europe. That would be fitting.

Celtic, Dundalk and St Johnstone have all been done before with this, so why it is news to them I don't know. Then again I don't understand this anti-Semitism and hatred of Israeli teams. It's like that Egyptian loser who refused to shake hands in the Olympics.

Francis theres more chance of Sevco signing a decent player than that happening.

The Israeli coppers will be bursting heads like ripe melons at the first sign of trouble next week after that vile provocation.

No they won't.

You concentrate on why you've got potential signings turning up at your stadium in white vans, the mobile of the bricklayer, probably giving the driver £10 to transport him about.

No wonder the Elephant Man knocked yous back. "Hello Joleon, wee Jimmy's outside the airport the noo can you hurry up he's to be back on site in 45 minutes he's on his lunch break. It's a white tansit van caked in dirt and paint you should spot it easily".

You got beat off brickies who drive a white van. The away fans won't be unfurling any more of these banners will they? I might tune in to see that. I hope UEFA throw the book at the club for that display, but I don't know why some are bragging about news going 'round the world' about them being anti-Semites? It seems you'd want as few as people as possible to know that.

Oh Franco, regardless of how many time you are banned for trolling you just can't help yourself can you?

Regardless of how many times you try and troll this thread mentioning anti-Semitism nothing the Celtic support did last night was anti-Semitic, Anyone who has a quarter of a brain that functions properly realises that.
